We stayed for 3 nights at the Le Royal Meridien Beach Resort & Spa and were very happy with the hotel. It was in a great location near shops and the beach. The room was clean, comfortable and we had a great balcony with an amazing view. The service was very helpful, polite and professional. We were especially impressed by the breakfast and dinner buffets in the main restaurant. The variety of dood, detail, quality and standard was amazing and we always enjoyed and looked forward to every meal we had there.

Wow! This is one hell of a hotel, although it probably helped that they upgraded my room! The room was incredible - enormous (and it wasn't a suite - but could have been!) with an equally large bathroom. I've never seen such fancy toiletries in a hotel - all Hermes and large quantities too. They had full sized bars of soap along with plastic bottles of shampoo, cream etc. The fragrance is really nice.
The hotel has great amenities, but it was the sheer opulence that amazed me. My conscience won't allow me to stay in a place like this (it's an environmental disaster) but if you happen to stay by chance, it's fantastic!
The only bum note - don't bother with the massage - it's not very good.

Very pleased with this hotel/resort. My wife and I were very impressed with the extremely friendly staff, especially to our 3 year old daughter. For those not traveling with children, still an excellent choice as the resort is very peaceful creating a relaxing environment for all. The grounds are beautiful, and the beach is fantastic (the camels on the beach, which are available for a quick hired ride, add a nice Arabian touch). Waiters at the beach and pools provide an occasional complimentary cold towel and frozen slushy sample, which is a refreshing and luxurious amenity. We stayed in a club room, which is great if you want a quick breakfast and a very nice complimentary happy hour in the lounge with a great sunset (please note that children are not welcome in the lounge after 18:30 - which is difficult for travelers with children, but creates a very relaxing adult environment). My wife did two spa treatments, and was very pleased with the services and facilities. Be prepared for high prices - from food, to drinks, to the room, but that is to be expected in Dubai (although suggest taking a cab from airport instead of hotel transfer, which is nice, but 4 times the cost - the cabs (and the drivers) are also very nice). Everything else from guest services to restaurant staff to room cleaning is excellent. Location is great with easy access to all Dubai locations. As a side trip, I recommend Arabian Adventures Dune Riders desert safari! For comparison, we were looking to either stay at Le Royal Meridien or Atlantis. After spending a day at Atlantis-Aquaventure, we were VERY happy with our choice with Le Meridien - much less "commercial" feel and very relaxing. If you have have children 7-14 yrs old that want to go crazy all day, then consider Atlantis as a place to stay.

hate doing things like this but this hotel deserves my time.. we have been here 3 times, im not the type to go back to the same place, but we just cant knock it in anyway and i would be sure nobody could match the service we get there...

they are so kind and helpfull, and always treat my child like a human being and not like a child......the beds are to die for if i could only take those pillows home with me...we have stayed in all parts of the hotel and reccomend them all.....

just want to add im very fussy and hard to please, so if we are coming back for the 4th time this year, then they must be doing something right......and a big part played...is the staff, who ever does the employing is doing a great job because they are top people cant wait to return this year :-) for our wedding anniversary oh and the small pool over to the right has cold water pumped into it lush tryed another hotel for 2 days last year a very well known one and it didnt have a patch on this one for service xx

We arrived the day before the vulcanic ash cloud made that flights got cancelled. At the airport there was a BMW 740 waiting for us and we were presented nice cold cloths and a bottle of water. the driver was very friendly and told us a lot about Dubai.
On arrival in the hotel we had to walk to the Club Tower to check in during which they blocked a certain amount on our credit card, this was not a problem but very different from all the other hotels we stayed at. Other people we talked with were also suprised about this but it seems the hotel policy of Le Royal Meridien Dubai.

Although the ash cloud news overshadowed our stay we had a great time.
The hotel looks perfect and well maintained.
We stayed in the Clubtower and had a very nice room with lounge access. In the lounge there is a small breakfast buffet which we didn't use there because full breakfast was included in our package. In the lounge they also serve tea with scones, sandwiches etc and in the evening little appetizers and cocktails!
On the first morning the hand grip in the bath fell in the tub while taking a shower, the nails had rusted away causing the handle to fall but after we reported it someone came to fix it. After that we received a call asking if the repair had taken place and if it was to our liking.

The gardens and pools are great but most of all we loved the beach with the white sand and the almost warm water of the sea. If you do not want to walk to a restaurant or the beach you can get a ride on one of the carts that transport people all day. We had once breakfast in the room which was really great with a nice bread basket, fruit platter and eggs to order.
We had twice dinner in Al Khaima and we really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere.
The employees of the hotel are everywhere very friendly.
When we called to extend our stay with 5 extra nights we were asked to come again with our credit card and again an amount got blocked.
Luckily after extending our stay we heard some good news; the airlines started flying again so we could enjoy the rest of our stay knowing we would go home soon.
Sun, sand, beach, pools, great restaurants from the hotel but also on the Walk I started almost wishing to stay even longer :-)
But then the day came we had to leave..the hotel was great in arranging the transport back to the airport and when we were packed we called for assistance with the luggage. To our surprise someone came to check the minibar long before someone showed up to help us with the luggage.
We have never had the experience of a hotel checking the minibar before checking out and if you see my other reviews about very nice hotels (and I still have many more to write) you know we are experienced travellers! It felt like they are not trusting their guests! and that in combination with blocking amounts on the credit card which we also never experienced before!
So we left with mixed feelings...treated as prince and princess but on the other hand they do not trust their guests at all

Dear Guest,

Thank you for posting your review about Le Royal Meridien on Trip Advisor.

I am glad to read from your comments that you had enjoyed your recent stay with us.

With regards to your comments on the Credit card authorization taken upon arrival, I was somewhat surprised to read that you are expereincing this for the first time as this is actually a normal procedure in most of the hotels around the world. As a General Manager, I myself travel quite often and even whilst staying in our sister properties I have been asked for my credit card details at all times. Nevertheless, please be rest assured that it is purely a standard procedure on room reservation payment and sorry that you felt not trusted. I have therfore reiterated to the Front Office team that corrective trainings are conducted so that guests are clearly explained about the need for taking an authorization upon arrival.

Your comment with regards to the “Refreshment Centre” (Mini Bar) is also noted and please may I mention that this check is done in order to post any consumption immediately to your room account whereby, when you reach the Reception you can have your invoice ready rather than you waiting at the counter for the amount to be posted on to your room account.

Once again, thank you for posting your review on Trip Advisor and I look forward to welcoming you back.

Kind Regards
Pam Wilby
