We booked a king whirlpool suite - it was only $20 more than a regular room. The whirlpool tub was awesome! The bed was comfy, the room was super quiet, the shower was clean and worked great, friendly staff, A+ on breakfast. I would give it five stars, but the blanket was thin and cheap (luckily we had one of own along) and the location isn't anything to write home about - just off a freeway exit ramp. We were visiting family in the area and if we go again, no question we'd stay there again.

Room Tip: The whirlpool's worth the extra - whether for romance or aching bones (or both).

We decided to stay a night in Alexandria at the last minute. After calling a few hotels in town, they had the best price at $79.00 for 2 adults and 2 queen beds with breakfast. The staff was friendly over the phone and in person and I genuinely felt welcomed.

The room was clean and nice. It was also quiet but that could be because there may not have been many people around us. The breakfast was nice, I had oj, belgium waffle, sausage and eggs. There were many other good choices.

The only drawback to the stay was that we were on the other side of the building, and the parking for our room was a gravel area which was dark and ours was the only vehicle. The back door also did not lock - something which the staff knew of and were trying to get fixed.

Other than that, it was a nice stay at the last minute. I would be open to stopping there again.

Room Tip: The back side of the hotel may be quieter, there are no streets going by.

Positive experience in less than ideal circumstances.

Due to some very heavy thunderstorms our camping trip needed a short respite to regroup, get some rest, and in general have a comfortable night.

While sheltering in a coffee shop over a keyboard we found and booked this room. We had our dog with us because we were camping, this hotel does allow dogs in their smoking rooms. OK, I never stay in a smoking room, but I totally understand keeping dogs in the smoking rooms which keeps the non-smoking rooms fresher and cleaner smelling. Sucks for us but it gave us a room and doesn't spoil the hotel experience for non-smokers and non-pet people, I'm fine with that. We were simply thankful to find a very comfortable room where we could have our dog with us.

The room was typically comfortable in line with our expectations of a hotel in the Country Inns hotel chain. The breakfast was hot, everything met our satisfaction, we had no complaints.

Room Tip: If you plan to travel with your pet, you must book a smoking room, you'll be assessed the $10 pe...

We stayed here Friday night while we in town for a wedding. Check-in was super fast. The room was clean, a little outdated but cozy. We enjoyed the hot tub and breakfast was fantastic. We would stay again!

I loved this hotel very much. We had a late-night check-in due to a late arrival in the state, and were very impressed by this hotel's atmosphere. We were greeted by a smiling desk attendant and were then given keys to our whirlpool suite, room 219. It had a large bed, the whirlpool was great for relaxing and the TV was a plus. We also enjoyed the space the room had to offer. The whole hotel made us feel as home and it had a southern type charm. Very nice and would recommend to anyone!

Room must have had a party in it - chipped countertops, dirty carpeting. The worst was the smelly pillows! We wrapped bath towels around them but I do not even want to know who used those pillows because they really needed to wash their hair. How does the cleaning help over look this? - surely they can smell the pillows. We will never stay there again...
