If you are looking for a place to take the family during any season, Cold Springs is a great option. The condos are huge and very comfortable. They recently added air conditioning to the units so the summer months are relaxing. The White Mountains Country Club is next to the resort and is a great place to play a round of golf. They have an indoor and outdoor pool, hot tub, toddler pool, ping pong, pool table, and weight room available. Each unit has its own washer/dryer for convienence as well as a kitchen.

The resort staff is great and they offer many different trips during the week for all ages as well as arts and crafts for children. Overall, it is a very peacefull, relaxing, secluded resort that feels like a home away from home.

Our family stayed here in April of 2007 and even though the weather wasn't so great (it rained 3 out of 7 days) we had a wonderful time. We rented a 3 bedroom condo and it was huge! It had a washer and dryer(nice suprise), dishwasher, great views of the golf course and some crazy hanging fire place. The resort had things planned everyday we were there for all ages. The girls loved the ping pong table, pool and arts and crafts. The staff was wonderful with everything. We are planning to go back again soon. The only problem was the showers were hard to adjust.

Stayed 2 weekend nights in late September. We made a rental request in June and got a call back in late July offering a unit at just under $131/night for a 2-BR unit in a fourplex located on the golf course.

We chose this because of the value, amenities, and flexibility it offered for a family with small children, especially in fall season. It is in a good place to visit both the lakes and the mountains. Staff was friendly and helpful. Our unit was clean but had a few minor problems-- the flourescent light coverings in the kitchen were warped and drooping and one of the stove burners didn't work. Our property provided little more than truly the basics (no paper towels, salt and pepper, hotel-sized shampoo, etc.) Indoor pool and hot tub were fine, but a long walk/short car drive away.

Beware: cell phone coverage there can be spotty and the resort nickels-and-dimes you for use of the unit's phone (even with your calling card). Also read the fine print on their rules (must burn only sterno logs in fireplace, no floatation devices in pools, etc.)

My family and I stayed at Cold Springs from July 22nd to the 29th. My family consisted of two small children, my parents, and my husband and I. We rented a two bedroom condo and it was more than big enough for all of us. The room was very nice and had everything that you would possibly need for the week. It had one bedroom with two double beds and then a master suite with a King bed with a bathroom connected to it. The 2 bedroom units have two bathrooms with showers which is very nice. They also have a dishwasher and a washer and dryer. It had a screened in deck that was very nice. The resort grounds were very nice and very clean. They had a nice playground for the children with a picnic area right next to it for BBQing. They had tennis courts and a inside and outside pool. They also had a outside childrens pool which you don't see to often. They had arts and crafts going on everyday and also they provided trips with transportation. The resort is located next to a golf course and about 10 minutes from a Super Walmart. It is a convient location and a excellent place to stay for families. We plan on going back with our children for years to come.

Our family just returned from a great spring skiing holiday in New Hampshire. This was our second stay at Cold Spring and have bought a timeshare interval for spring break with our kids. Our stay at Cold Spring was fantastic as our unit was very spacious and fully equipped. We had one of the larger 3 bedroom townhouses with a great view looking out onto the golf course. Kitchen had everything we needed and our unit had its own washer / dryer. Our girls had a great time and really enjoyed swimming in the indoor heated pool after a long day of skiing. the resort is within easy driving distance to many ski hills and the prices in New Hampshire midweek can't be beat as there are specials at many ski hills. The resort offers discount tickets to Loon mountain and Waterville valley. The staff at Cold Spring are very friendly and the resort offered many organized activities including a trip to a maple tree farm to see how maple syrup is made. For people interested in a summer vacation there is now air conditioning recently installed in all units. I would recommend Cold Spring to anyone looking to relax and enjoy a peaceful and beautiful country setting.
