We love The Common Man in Ashland. The food and service are always excellent. We had mussels and wings to start...so yummy. Our main dishes were seafood this visit, the fish with crab, and scallops, were so fesh. My son had his favorite stuffed chicken. Common Man always has seasonal specials. This visit had the most divine baked apples in maple syrup, baked to order. It was an incredible meal and we can't wait for our next visit!

Had Lunch with my husband, he ordered the daily special of Lemon Haddock w/ Mashed Potatoes and Squash. I had the Shrimp Scampi Mac & Cheese. Both of our meals were very good. They serve marinated carrots to start and have a nice Cheese and Cracker Station w/garlic cheese spread or a Cottage Cheese Mix. Very nice "New England" Atmosphere. Reasonable prices at lunch. Wait Staff are well trained and pleasant. Nice selections to choose from. The Bar is upstairs, you have to go up a Narrow, Winding, Spiral, Metal Stair Case to reach it. No handicap access to the bar area.

This restaurant is part of the Common Man chain eateries, but, from what I understand, this is the flagship restaurant. It had a nice, warm ambiance. We were in very good hands with our waitress. We found the dinners a little pricey, so we chose items such as the Best Burger (very good), and Grilled Chicken sandwich. Interestingly, they had a sort of "cracker bar" that you could visit, with various crackers and toppings to choose from. Pretty good, but I think we would have preferred nice warm rolls. They also provided complimentary white chocolate at the end of our meals, which was a nice touch.

This pub is in a cute village setting and the service was good.
It is a unique building the upper room was not suitable for anyone that has trouble with stairs...these were winding, stay on the first floor otherwise.

Quaint restaurant with a pub/lounge up the spiral staircase. We ate lunch here but we are planning on going back for dinner! Great service. Nice selection of food with good prices. Both my husband and I had sandwiches, he had the club and I had the BLT which had a fried tomato!! Excellent! Amazing selection of desserts! Check out their little store across the street. Definitely recommend!
