“Very Fond Memories of the Dead Fish”
Reviewed 7 October 2011

My Husband and I visited the Dead Fish Cafe in Oct 2005 and we loved the place. Hoping to get back there sometime... the atmosphere was what won us over. It was sort of like a treehouse in the jungle - very cool! The food was good too! :) Hoping it's maintained it's charm because it was perfect just the way it was!

“Strange layout and poor quality food”
Reviewed 10 August 2011

Ive been here several times over the years and it used to be a great place to eat with interesting levels to sit, (once inside you will understand) however the food has become very poor quality with some friends sick after eating here! the restaurant does have interesting animals inside, including live crocodiles (in a safe area), ducks just wandering around and a few others, however we did spot 3 rats running around as well!

“Amazing space with great potential”
Reviewed 13 April 2011

Apparently this place has fallen on some hard luck. The crocodiles have been sold, the Aspara dancer performed for my party of three, and the kind and friendly waitstaff out-numbered the customers. It was absolutely worth it for a beer. The decor and slight fear of plummeting through the worn floorboards contribute to the atmosphere, and we left with great photos. It is really a cool space!

“Empty except for the mosquitoes”
Reviewed 10 January 2011

We had high hopes but were left disappointed, the mosquitoes were everywhere (unlike the rest of Siem Reap) and the waiter insisted on showing us a live crocodile in a filthy tiny pit. Avoid!
