Kids were allowed to swim in the pool so we could enjoy our tasting even more relaxed. They have a very little amount of tables, so we were happy we had a reservation, we were sorry for the people they had to disappoint. The food was a delight of our holidays in Cambodja and Thailand.

Two friends and myself stayed at Philippe's for just three days and two nights. The grounds, the pool, and the villa were all lovely. We were comfortable and the cleanliness of the entire complex was immaculate inside and outside of our villa. The pool area which also serves as the dining area of the restaurant was relaxing and inviting. On our last night, we decided to eat from a brand new menu that had been developed as we swami the pool after a long day at Angkor Wat. I had a 5 course fixed price menu that included Duck and Fish. Philippe the Chef did not disappoint. It was the best Duck I had ever had. The freshness of each course, the timely service, and the relaxed atmosphere amongst friends made the meal ever more special. I highly recommend staying at Philippe's while in Siem Reap and eating the creations from this wonderful chef. You will not be disappointed for the price and quality of your stay and the food you are served. Merci de nous recevoir et nous attendons avec impatience à nouveau dans le futur. Philippe est un grand chef et un hôte formidable. Félicitations et bonne réussite!

We spent five days at Philippe’s in July and can highly recommend it. The villa was perfect for our family of four, the pool was clean and refreshing, and the location was great (just 5 minutes away from the old town by tuk tuk. Philippe, Philippe and Herve couldn’t do enough for us, organising a tuk tuk driver for us all week, recommending places / restaurants to go to, organising circus tickets for us and generally just being fantastic.

The breakfast each morning was delicious - the fresh French bread and brioche were amazing - and the food we ordered later in the day was great too. It’s a great mix between self-contained villa and serviced accommodation. A great place to stay in Siem Reap.

It is a little surprising that this is listed on TripAdvisor as a restaurant only when it is truly a stunning place to stay. We travelled as a large family group spending 3 nights here taking 3 of the 5 villas that surround the pool. Each villa has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, living room area and kitchen. Our young children in particular loved the pool and the surrounding banana and mango trees. It is far enough out of the city centre to be very peaceful, but only a five minute trip into town. Breakfasts of coffee, fresh fruit juices, brioche, fruits, and eggs are served around the pool. Both Philippe's are friendly and welcoming hosts.

We had some mixed experience with the restaurant for dinner - the duck and the foie gras were great; the steak though was disappointing. I probably would not give it 5 stars for the restaurant (which as others have noted are just tables around the pool - there is no restaurant building), but the hospitality, quality, location, value for money, and magical setting of the villas definitely deserves 5 stars.
