Welcoming and friendly staff, pity they didnt prepare the room so we didnt have to wait for the room on our arrival. They politely asked us to wait for them so they can ready the room. Would have been better because of the heat outside and we could relax in the cool room

Room Tip: Higher floor quieter!

I stay in Siem Reap often for work. This time I decided to try a new hotel. I have to say I was very happy with Angkor Pearl Hotel and will definitely go back there again. It was great value for money and the included breakfast was excellent. And, most importantly, the staff were very friendly. Will definitely recommend to friends.

great little hotel in the toen of Siem Reap. Walking distance to "pub street" where most of the markets, eating and drinking places are but far enough away to be quiet. There isn't a pool, which would give them an extra mark. The breakfast is fairly ok but not grreat. However, the very friendly and helpful staff make up for it. The rooms are large and comfortable, as is the bed. Massage for €7 so can't complain. The hotel has a few tuk tuk drivers and will collect you (FOC) from the airport if you email them in advance. We organised oneof the drivers to take us to the temples and he drove us to each one, supplied us with water, for €15 (with a tip on top) which is fantastic value for almost a full day out. Would recommend.

Room Tip: there isn't an elevator

I was doing a solo trip to Siem Reap to visit Angkor Wat and other temples and wanted to be conservative on cost incurred. Angkor Pearl Hotel was great value for money at just $24/night (on Agoda). It was walking distance (1 km or about) from town "recreation" centre (Pub Street). The small hotel had no frills but there was tea/coffee, TV (old CRT color TV), breakfast with a live egg counter (more Asian dishes than western) and a great Guest Services Manager (Anne) who booked tours for me for 3 days and spoke great English! Great comfort for $24/night.

What was good - The room is overall clean and big, the bed was very comfortable. You get water and instant coffee everyday in your room. The staff is welcoming and friendly.
What was not - the water had a brownish color, not sure if it's siem reap water or only from my shower, which was rusty. I could taste the iron flavour when brushing my teeth. The breakfast was never ready on time. It was suppose to start at 6 but was never completely ready before 6:30 or 7.
But fair for the price I guess!

Staying at a budget hotel means you have to lower your expectations & be happy if it's a nice place to stay at, the place should have the basics down pat at the least.
We were given a fourth floor room, the place was old but it felt homey & some reception people are friendly. As I wasn't expecting much I didn't really mind the towels were old & rough, the toilet stained & the bathroom felt like it hasn't been scrubbed clean in awhile. What I hadn't expected was:
-There's no lift. If you're injured and don't do stairs it's no fun
-room phone doesnt work (so go down & up the stairs for someone to look into & the person still not getting it fixed)
-bed light bulbs spoiled
-Metallic smell from the Shower water
-wifi non existent, if it graces you with it's presence it's pretty slow
-while 95% of the staff seem friendly most of them cannot communicate well in English & would just nod & smile then leave, speak to Reception instead.
-despite reminding through Reception the day before, our paid ride back to the airport showed up very late. The reception guy on shift, despite being informed of the situation, did not take action right away either.Luckily, there was another staff member who helped us.

Room Tip: There is no lift. When you get there check everything is working, follow up to ensure they understoo...

It is a budget hotel but it has all the amenities one require during the travel. The rooms are neat and clean with good beds. The staff at the reception speak English which is very important in Cambodia for the foreign visitors. The draw backs are, breakfast and the quality of sleep. There is not much choice in breakfast. Particularly vegetarians find it very difficult. The management should take note of this and should realize many Indians are visiting the country. Also the dishes are not filled once they are emptied, which I found a biggest draw back. Most of the time we ended up having very little food. Air conditioners are very noisy and disturb the sleep. It not so close to the pub street as it is mentioned in their website. We have to hire a tuk tuk to go to Pub street where all the restaurants are present. do not expect good views from the windows.

Room Tip: The stairs are very steep and tiring. Give preference to ground floor.
