What a pleasure this hotel is, from the moment we arrived we were very warmly welcomed, in fact every time we arrived back from Angkor or town, we were welcomed back with refreshing cold towels, and questions about our day and experiences. All the staff were lovely, and the hotel amenities were spotlessly clean. Our room was beautifully appointed, and we had a balcony with a nice view over the swimming pool. The pool hours were limited to 8am-8pm, which made those rooms overlooking it nice and quiet at night and in the early mornings when some hotels can be a little rowdy! At the time of our stay they were adding a lift, as some travellers found the stairs to the 3rd and 4th floors a little much after a long day at the sights. Although this work was going on, there was very little noise disturbance to the hotel and absolutely no dust or debris to be seen, the cleaning staff do a fantastic job! The Golden Temple is an oasis, and I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Siem Reap.

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left this gem of a hotel was a highlight and one of the major reasons we loved Siem Reap so much. Outstanding and friendly service combined with beautiful Khymer decorated rooms, sumptuous breakfasts, great massages, and useful information this hotel is like an oasis in the indochina desert! Couldn't recommend highly enough.

Room Tip: ground floor room 6 was ideal being quiet and private.

We stayed in the Golden Temple for 4 nights in February and certainly were not dissapointed. This hotel is a small boutique which does not have all the facilities of a top class hotel but definitely makes up for it in their customer service.

On arrival we were met at the airport by our lovely tuk tuk driver Mr Rother who greeted us with the biggest smile ever, and then drove us to the hotel. Checking in was a breeze. You are sat down in the lovely comfy chairs in reception and given cold towels to refresh yourself, together with a tray of fruit and banana chips not forgetting the lovely iced tea!!

Whilst we were being given all the relevent information about the hotel by the front of house Manager he just casually informed us that we were entitled to a complimentary evening meal in the resturant. We were also given a complimentary pack lunch and 2 x 1hr massage!!!

If you want to visit Angkor Wat and the other temples then I can definitely recommend using the hotels tours. We had Mr Rother who picked us up from the airport take us on different tours for 3 days and it was so cheap. The set tours cover most of the tourist places but if you want to go anywhere else which is not in the itinery your driver will be able to take you.
If you want to do all the temples it is cheaper to buy a 3 day pass then go and pay on a daily basis. Your driver will advise you when you get to the first temple.

The hotel is situated in an ideal location with the town centre only a 10 minute walk away, but if you don't want to walk tuk tuk are outside the hotel and reception will arrange one for you.

We ate most nights in the restaurant and the food was lovely everytime. A pitcher of gin and tonic only cost US$6.00 which is very reasonable. There is also a couple of supermarkets just to the left of the hotel so you can purchase your own drinks for your room if you so wish.

There is no lift so if you are not too good with stairs this could be a problem for you and also you may want to request a room with pool view, as the opposite side is very close to another building and the views are not brilliant.

Cannot fault the rooms they were large and the beds comfortable. Fridge, TV and free WIFI all included together with complimentary tea and coffee.

The staff (all of them) are the most genuine and friendliest people we have ever had the privilidge to meet. We have travelled to quite a few places but it was the first time that we felt we were leaving friends behind. They are genuinely thankful that you have chosen their hotel to stay. Vichea is just so adorable and brought a smile to our faces everytime we spoke to him. We even received a photo via email which was taken by the staff on our last day.

If you want a good, reasonably priced hotel, great location and superb customer service, then you will not be dissapointed with this hotel. Will definitely stay here if we ever go back to Siem Reap.

Room Tip: Definitely request a room with pool view.

From the moment we arrived our every want and need was looked after by the excellent staff and wonderful service they provide. Our room was a good size and very comfortable. Food was a good standard and very tasty. The only disaapointment was that our room was at the back of the hotel which was slap bang up against the neighbouring hostel and overlooked by all who occupied it. This meant that it was difficult to use the balcony comfortably and the room was a bit dark and dingy from lack of light. It wasn't clear when we booked that the rooms on this side were overlooked or right next to the hostel. I would recommend a pool facing room for maximum daylight and to be able to use the balcony provided.
The hotel is perfectly located within minutes walk from the the centre of Siem Reap and some great restaurants, shops and sights. Our tuk tuk driver, Mr Lucky, was magnificent and took us everywhere we wanted to go, and brought us back safely when we were exhausted, hot and dripping with sweat from the day's activities. Each time you arrive back at the hotel you are greeted with an ice cold towel and the warmest welcome you can imagine from the friendly staff.
All in all, this is a great, compfrtable friendly place to stay and explore all the wonders of Siem Reap. If I stayed here again I wouild choose a pool facing room but other than that it is excellent.
