We had a hectic full day schedule to see the Angkor Wat temple complex, visitng Angkor Wat, Ankor Tham and Bhayon complexes rounding up for the sunset point. The main temple at AW is well conserved and restored and depicted nicely... The same is not the case for other temples which are still going thru restoration and better poresentation... But it is a real wonder how the entire complex came up out of a jungel thanks to the discoverer of the ancient secret. The beauty of the UNESCO heritage complex is a depiction of the harmony of two great religions of the SE Asia - Hinduism ( also referred as Brahiminsm locally) and the Buddhism. Do not miss out the greenery spread out so nicely..
If you do not have a guide, do visit the musuem to get a better brief on the complex. Be ware of the steep steps in the Bhuyon complex as also the kids who sell all sorts of items at the entrance and inside of the complex..

we only had one day but spent time at Angkor Wat, Phnom Bakeng, Bayon, Ta Kho, Ta Prohm. Angkor Thom gates also very impressive. Would have liked to spend more time around Angkor Thom.

Loved climbing steep temple steps and exploring. Bas-relief's are amazing, especially Bayon where they are on the inside wall of the outer court.

The temples and the architecture are astounding. The scale of the buildings is staggering. The history is fascinating. Add to that the amazing variety of people (other tourists) that you meet and can share the experince with.

One of our greatest esperiences. Sunrise and sunset worth doing. Once again make sure you have good guide with air conditioned vehicle and driver to get the best of temples and surrounding area. Recommend Voeun Savuth at angkorsavuth@yahoo.com We were looked after every step of the way plus he had great knowledge of temples and area and english was good. Not sure about other languages but you cound email him and ask. We have been to Pyramids in Egypt and we thought Angkor and other surrounding temples much more worth the visit. So if you have to choose recommend here as first choice of course it would be great if you can visit them all.
