there are more expensive and more extravegant choices in town but the staff is nice here and the rest of the facilities are great.
food servers are a little slow but I find this to be true with all servers in that area. its a cultural thing not to rush you so you have to hunt for your waiter. :)
the hotel is clean, offers a very large breakfast. the pool is small but a cozy escape from the hubub of the street. I enjoyed every minute of my stay here. although I did have an unwelcome lizzard wander into my room one evening. someone had to come up and help me catch him. he was harmless but who can sleep with a lizard staring at you from across the room. :)
the wifi is great, they have a money exchange and arrrange all kinds of services. If they book a guide for you, ask for Chantha Loy. He was wonderful. He really listens to you and helps you find exactly the experience you are seeking. He is fun and smart and very low key. He always keeps that smile on no matter what and makes you feel calm and peaceful. You can take a tuk tuk if you want that experience but since wood burning fumes and truck fumes are often an issue, you might be more comfortable with a car or van.More
