Fuzon is a reasonably good hotel, with clean rooms, comfortable bed. Staff is very helpful and are eager to cater to needs. This is one of the few 4 star properties in Shenzhen where you can make you understand as English can be understood by majority of staff.

This hotel is pretty good. Located in a nice area in Shekou / Shuiwan MTR. You walk out to the shopping streets and there are plenty of restaurants in the neighbourhood.
Hotel is new, airconditioning no problem (compare with the old noisy aircon's in some hotels), facilities good. Beds are very wide, nice. No wifi in the room, but instead an old-fashioned cable, which works well too. Good thing is, the windows can open.
The hotel staff still has to learn the some of the ropes, as they didn't clear their own admin the next morning and didn't check our Agoda booking.
But overall nice stay.
Pay attention to which floor you're on, there are smoking and non-smoking floors.
I'd certainly stay here again.

Room Tip: Make sure you're on a non-smoking floor and pay attention to the side. The backside has all the machines, making some noise.

I stayed here for a few weeks. The restaurant is very average, rooms dated but functional, clean, and mostly quiet.

Staff is nice and friendly, and if you have a question, they find someone who speaks english. The hotel is a 10RMB ride to the port, and a nice walk amongst the working class shops and eateries.

I'll stay here again, or find another place.

It's rated at #386 but is many times better than the Orient Sunseed (rated 186) where I stayed last week. For only $20 more a night it is much much better in terms of class and comfort. The beds are still not very soft, but still more comfortable than most in China. Has individual AC unit in the room (hot & cold) which is great in this cold weather. Other hotels with central AC have no heat and it gets down to almost 15C in the rooms at night.

Probably the best location in Shekou, as it is right across the street from the newly opened Shuiwan metro station, and just a few minutes walk from Shekuo Seaworld.

All in all, having a great stay here.

P.S. TA needs to have a better number rating system - maybe combine price paid vs. comfort/quality?

Fuzon is another hotel in Shekou popular with Europeans and Australians as well as with Asian customers. It offers excellent comfort and cleanliness with low rates (when you book online). It is 10 minutes walk from Shekou Sea World and close to some good Chinese restaurants like Little Sheep Mongolian Hot Pot. Some of the side streets to the east of the hotel are not so clean but were being improved while we were there.

We stayed in a Deluxe Queen room (well worth the small extra cost) which had a large, comfortable bed and four pillows, two chairs, LCD TV, well stocked fridge, and bathroom with walk-in shower and good facilities. Our room was on the 7th floor and so was fairly quiet away from the traffic noise. We were also lucky in having a good view across to Hong Kong, though only a few rooms have this view.

Air conditioning worked efficiently, without undue noise, and we found the room comfortable and enjoyable to stay in. The only downside was the breakfast which caters mainly for Chinese tastes. If you like well done fried eggs and Chinese sausage or fried Spam then you'll find something to eat, but we went to a nearby supermarket to buy fresh fruit and orange juice. Alternatively there are plenty of restaurants with Western style breakfasts at Sea World.

At reception the staff were helpful, lending us an umbrella when it rained. Overall we enjoyed staying here and would do so again.
