I'm going everywhere using metro Shenzhen. It really convenience, if you are a tourist & just have one day in Shenzhen, buy 1 day ticket for tourist just RMB 20 only, you can use it wherever you are on 24 hours. Even better than Single Journey Ticket because sometimes you must queueing at ticketing machine. If you must stay longer than one day use Shenzhen Tong Pass & if you just going from one to another destination use Single Journey Ticket.

If you are a first-time visitor to China, you don't need to be nervous about using the metro in Shenzhen. It is very clean, well marked, with signs and announcements in English. There is not the pushing and shoving one may experience in other metropolitan centers. You can buy single ride tickets at the ticket counter, or at machines which have English. You can buy metro pre-pay cards at certain stations, not every station. Look for stations that cross 2 metro lines. Prepare to remove all bags and put them thru Xray every time you enter. They are quite insistent here.

Just love the Hong kong Metro. Upstairs in ticketing can be confusing; patience or understanding will get you through this. Once downstairs on the platform it is so clean and quiet. All the trains are barricaded by glass walls, they all stop in exactly the same spot where the glass doors open. So well organised.

SZ Metro is a very cheap and efficient way of getting around SZ. Only problem is the limited English texts however the station names is mostly bi-lingual so as long as you plan your trip, it's very convenient to get around. However, it can be very crowded around rush hour

Fast and Efficient and very affordable way to get around the city. Avoid peak hours. Very very crowded.
Tip: There are security checks at every station. All bags must be scanned (like those at the airports). Water bottles must be scanned separately. Suggestion: take out your water bottle before placing your bag(s) on the scanner. At some stations, the security officer will demand that you take a sip of the water in front of them.
