Very helpful and polite staffs, when we just arrived at the other entrance through the Cantonese restaurant, one of their staff, Rita, she showed her enthusiasm trolling the travel cases and guiding us to the check-in counter.
Continental buffet breakfast had a lot of variety of food provided.
The environment of the hotel is clean and tidy, swimming pools are clean and the wonderful subway leading you to the Daitunghai (大東海)beach in just a two or three minutes, sands are white and water is clean and waves a lot.
The taxi service calling from the hotel was paying strictly according to the meter shown on the taxi. The last ride to the Phoneix international airport paid RMB$22 plus $5 calling fee. It was not like the taxi fare, when we were just arrived at the airport, they offered the negotiable fare at RMB$100 to the hotel.

Stayed 2 nights in the hotel. Location wise it is somewhere in the middle of most popular tourists spots so its good for leisure movement. Awesome customer services consistently, no excessive signs of wear and tear in infrastructure, however all the international sockets in my room were faulty. (i didn't bring along my travel adapter, expecting the hotel of this tier to be equip with one), luckily the hotel promptly provided me with one.

Facilities wise the pools are awesome! There's even one simulated beach pool and water slides for kids. Swimming aside, some unexpected facilities beside the norm include mini movie theatre, shooting range, mahjong room, KTV etc.

On the downside, the poolside BBQ dinner is a letdown. Nothing tasted good or fresh. The Alaska king crab legs tasted like they had been in the freezer for years and just taken out to be boiled. No other food gave me the surprised sensation.
Also take note that 15% will only be given if you booked on the same day before 5pm. All in all, i spent only 30 mins in the restaurant, the shortest ever for me in a buffet. However breakfast was a totally different story. not overly westernised (perfect for me lol)

Take note that Wifi is free both in public areas and room. However the speed is only for email reading. For faster connection to play video you have to pay extra.

Last but not least, do not be fooled by the "private beach" . There's a dedicated underpass that leads you from hotel to the beach (to cut across the busy road above). Once on the beach you will realised that it is not private at all. Anyone can just walk in.

The actual property features are great - fab pool and nice big rooms. Property overall felt new and clean. Unfortunately this is where our enjoyment ended.

The customer service and experience was beyond bad. Next to no English language service and constantly told "no" when trying to order food and beverages. Upgrading to an executive lounge room wasn't worth the money - staff in the lounge were very unfriendly, refused to restock the drinks, no atmosphere. Nothing much else in proximity to the hotel and need to pay for all additional hotel services - including water slides, tennis courts, etc. No turndown service in the rooms and room amenities (such as shampoo and soap) weren't replenished daily. Can't say I'd stay at another Pullman property after this!

Well appointed hotel under the leadership of GM Richard, Manager Jan and Welcome Manager JoJo.The hotel is beautifully designed that makes for a luxurious get away. It's in good location close to the airport, city centre and the beach. The room was spacious and comfortable. The Chinese food was gourmet and delicious. Love the hotel and come back after 4 months of our first stay. We spent again a lovely week in luxurious surroundings. I was particularly impressed by the helpfulness and service of staff. Fanastic hotel from the moment we walked into the reception. The staff were so friendly and nice. They were extremely helpful and couldn't do more for us. I would like to convey my appreciation to the Welcome Manager JoJo, Welcomer Lily, Ki Ki of the Executive Lounge as well as Grace and Rita of the Chinese Restaurant for their professional service who made us a wonderful, memorary and happy stay in the hotel.I will definitely stay there again in my next visit and recommend this hotel to any traveller.

Took a risk not staying in Yalong Bay with all the higher end hotels, and was pleasantly surprised by the Pullman! It's an easy 20 mins away from the airport, in the Sanya Bay area. While not as picturesque as Yalong, the area is bustling with a decent beach. Pullman is situated where you can see most of the East side of Sanya Bay, especially the recognizable marina. There is a wide expanse of beach, countered with lots of buildings/hotels. The public bus line traverses the main beachside road, making it easy to hop into town.

There is not much around the Pullman. Within a 15 min walk is a street with stalls and a small market. However the hotel has a free shuttle that takes you to the "Walking Street" or market, several times a day. The walking street is only about 15 mins away, and has tons of shops and restaurants, and a jewelry street. To get back to the hotel, you can hop on public bus 8, 25 or 26 to head back to the hotel, costs RMB 5. The hotel is about a 15 min walk from the bus stop, be prepared for public bus conditions!!

Hotel itself is pretty good. We had a two bedroom suite, which is actually a condo building the Pullman owns. The unit was nice, huge balcony, great view from the 15th floor. DOWNSIDE: the second bedroom is quite small and only has a single bed! I was planning on putting both my kids in there and ended up having to have one sleep on the couch. The second bathroom's shower doesn't really have a door, so be prepared to get water everywhere! As mentioned in another review, kitchenette doesn't have pots/pans/dishes.

Pools are GREAT. The main pool is huge with lots of shady spots, a separate adult infinity pool, and a smaller, warmer pool that's on a higher level. There's a mini water park that the kids loved, costs RMB 38-58, depending on number of entries. You can get poolside service, but it's spotty. Can take a while for the food to get to you. Lyki was one of the pool employees and he always delivered with a smile. Can also order at the swim up bar. English isn't widely spoken, but maybe a quarter of the folks spoke enough to understand me.

What surprised me was the number of activities and facilities. There is a whole are on the first floor with a for fee kid area ( trampoline room, indoor playscape), simulated golf, 3d shooting range, billiards, etc. All of those were for a fee, although not exorbitant. They even had a movie room that showed movies all day! It's a good option if you want to break up the day.

Had dinner one night at the One and it was quite good. Tempted by the poolside bbq, which was quite extensive, but thrown off by their pricing: sign says RMB 258, and then 15%off if you book before 5p. Turns out the regular price is RMB 298, so posted price is already the discounted one. Minor point, but annoying.

Overall, I think the Pullman is a very good option for a quick escape to enjoy some nice weather in Sanya.
