This particular bridge span across the Songhua River is a vital route between the developing North and the already congested South. The bridge is not an architectural marvel or imposing like other newly erected bridge in China. However, it is part of this historical city.

The newer bridge has an old Eastern European influence and it is pretty nice at night. You will pass it en route to the Ice Festival. However, that being said, it's still just a bridge.

Uncountable numbers of vehicle pass through, the arota of city, which connected Songbei residential area to south part of city. Most of people go to work or school will pass this bridge.
There are a new bridge built a few years ago beside the old bridge,in order to ensure its efficiency, since the only bridge cannot satisfy demands for modern era.

You cross this bridge to get to the Ice Festival and other attractions. The on ramps are big circles that allow you to look back on the City which comes alive at night.

It may simply be a bridge over the Xinhua River, but the two domes perched atop the columns are worth seeing and photographing.

No comparison with some of the best bridges in the world, nevertheless, it's still one of the most stable, strong, and great bridges in China! Connecting from the Sun Island to the mainland in Harbin, think about how else to cross the river without the tram.

We visited this morning for sports activities under the bridge , the rivers turn to snows fiels, it's quite fun but the tickets is too expensive, 280 yuan per person, and each activities only allowed once, the the skiers bike and car is quite interesting, slides ball is the most fun, tickets including horses riding, and chairs sled but we didn't do it because it's too cold. Visit there by taxi cost about 100 yuan return trip from Sofitel Wanda Harbin.

What can I say, this is a bridge to Sun Island, which has winter sports, and the ice & snow sculptures. Dress warm!

Nothing special about the way it looks, or how it's been built.

Views aren't that great due to the perpetual mist in harbin during winter.
