I used the map on hotels.com site to find a hotel located close to the business meetings I had. The map was completely wrong (I checked the TripAdvisor map, it too is wrong), and turns out so was the directions that Hotels.com gave me. I searched the address of the hotel that Hotels.com gave me in my confirmation email in Google Maps - it took me to a restaurant (this is the location that TripAdvisor is giving). After spending nearly two hours searching for this hotel, I finally found it in the middle of nowhere outside the second ring road near Chengdu East Train Station. I had tried to call hotels.com repeatedly and did not get through - literally zero help from them.

The hotel used my Visa card to take a deposit then when I tried to check out, they told me that they couldn't use my Visa card to pay for the room service I had (it was disgusting - a hard brownie that was god knows how old) or the 3 bottles of water I had to buy because the hotel did not provide free water. I asked what they had done with my deposit then and they told me it would take minimum 30 days to return my deposit. I still don't have it back yet.

After complaining to both the manager of the Longemont and hotels.com, showing them the screenshots of the map and everything, all I got was a lousy $20 coupon to use on hotels.com, which didn't even cover the taxi rides I had to make during rush hour to get to the 2 wrong locations hotels.com gave me. No thanks. I'll use any other hotel booking site from now on and never stay at the Longemont again.

Also the breakfast at the hotel was gross. I had a piece of dried out watermelon (how can that even get dried out??? Water is in the name) and a coffee after seeing the spread.
