We stayed at the Leeden Hotel in Chengdu as part of our honeymoon for 2 nights and would definitely recommend it to other travellers. Our room was upgraded as we were on our honeymoon and they also provided us with a wheelchair (I broke my foot at our wedding!) which really helped us explore Chengdu when we were there.
The hotel was within walking distance of the town centre and we were able to get the metro back from the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding (we got a taxi there which cost 35RMB which was worth it to get there for opening time to view the pandas before the crowds arrived).
One piece of advice when staying in Chengdu, most restaurants don't have an English menu and the staff don't have any English, it's handy to have a few dishes translated into chinese stored on your phone (we used bing translate as google doesn't work in China)More
