Although the tomb of a king is also here, the site is named after his prime minister. The importance of the prime minister provides the temple the unique historic position.

Went to explore Wu Hou Ci on friends recommendation. Didnt regret. I borrowed the headset which explain the history. The whole place is soo full of history value. If like history should go.

This place is located in the Tibetan part of town and for that alone it is worth seeing. There just is a bit more colour in the streets around here (if you can ignore the police presence). There could be more explanations in English, but all in all, if you combine this place with the Tibetan quarter and maybe ( highly un-Tibetan and touristy) Jinli street, then it makes for an ok outing for the day.

Was surprised by it near and clean Layout although it Saturday it a but pack but still able to survive , the historical part need to pay and better to get a guide or tag to a guided group to learn and appreciate the history. The bonsai garden is also within the pay zone but I visited during winter but still found the garden is calm and nice. The shopping or food area is a good mix of Sichuan culture and the building and walkway is a good nice place for photo taking too. Can be easily access by subway or bus with a bit of walking.

This little gem is tucked away in the middle of the city. The temple is beautifully kept up and there are some absolutely beautiful gardens to stroll through. One of the best gardens is the Bonzai garden. It's incredible to see how many different varieties of trees and bushes can be trained as Bonzai.

The day we went, there were a lot of people at the temple, but it still didn't feel overcrowded. The walls and trees around the temple really protect it from the noises from the city, so it's a perfect escape and chance to get some nature in the middle of a concrete jungle.

After you are done with the temple, you can stroll right out the back to Jin Li street (which is a fun little shopping area with lots of interesting food and crafty souvenirs).
