Me and my partner had the pleasure of staying in this hotel for 5 days. We adored the architecture and styling of the rooms.
The location of this hotel is inside the old city, near all the main shops, restaurants and museums, however still in a quiet secluded spot.
The TWO pools were heavenly. Given that this hotel is small, we often found that we had the pool to ourself- which is a lovely change from some of the more commercial hotels we stayed in.
The hotel has lots of additional lounge areas (in the sun or shade) which are great places to read and meet fellow travellers.
The breakfast was great. Order off a menu, with lots of options and the chef is willing to tailor options to your taste (eg. make vegetarian). Better than a buffet breakfast- as I kept my portion sizes reasonable! They had a good mix of traditional Columbian cuisine and more western food if preferred. The menu for lunch/dinner/room service was reasonably priced and good quality.
The staff were extremely helpful and kind. The room attendants always made up the room beautifully.
My one improvement recommendation would be that Ananda introduces a permanent self service water/tea/coffee station. I felt a bit awkward calling room service every time I wanted tea or filtered water. More
