Really nice location, 5 minute walk from popular square with bars and restaurants. Metro station was a little bit far, 20 minutes walking. The hostel had a good provision of information about Medellin.
At our arrival, the staff explained all hundreds of rules, nothing was allowed to do: no drinks in the room, no noise, no talking in the hallways etc. etc. When we came home at midnight, the staff came immediately to whine about the noise. So don't go here if you are with a group of friends who want to have a nice (party) time in Medellin. The staff was bossy and not really friendly (unlike the other Colombians we have met so far). They controlled us and treated us like children. The kitchen was nice, however, we couldn't use it between 22:00 and 08:00, not even to get a glass of water or to take your food from the fridge.
Our 10-persons dorm room was comfortable. However, it only had 1 shower and we were not allowed to use other public bathrooms. We did it once, but the staff came immediately to rebuke us. Besides, the room had no door, so it was open for everyone. This means that our nights were disturbed by random people standing in our room or making noise in the hallway. There was no WIFI in the rooms, only really bad WIFI besides the front desk.More
