I love old buildings filled with antiques and unique decor and the Chelsea Pub & Inn did not disappoint. We were 1 block from the beach, boardwalk, and casinos. The room was "squeaky clean" and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was provided and if you just wanted to stay in, there is a huge bar and restaurant downstairs. Overall, we had a great experience and can't wait to go back. Worth the 11 hour drive from South Carolina.

My boyfriend and I stayed from Wed-Sunday. The inn is spectacular, filled with beautiful antiques and quirky historical touches. Everyone who worked there was helpful and pleasant. Breakfast every morning, great food in the bar, skilled bartenders, and proximity to the boardwalk is unmatched. We will definitely be visiting again.

I recently visited this place and found it to be a nice quick stop for a drink. I plan to go back and sit outside when it is not raining.
And we also intend on staying in one of the nicely decorated rooms.

The Chelsea Pub and Inn has an undeniable charm, and slanted floor and creaky stairs are a part of it. Our room, the corner one on the top floor, was clean and spacious, with natural light and comfortable beds. On Monday, the pub below was almost empty, and our sleep was undisturbed by any noise. The location is convenient to Tropicana, boardwalk, the beach. The breakfast had many excellent options: omelet, breads, cheeses, yogurt, fruit, and a cake. The library downstairs looks precious, and I could see spending a pleasant morning there with a book... too bad you are not allowed to touch them! Pity, there’s a good selection of classics, art albums, travel guides, etc.

Overall, my husband and I really enjoyed our stay, and the only reason we take away a star is because our check in experience could have been better
(do feel free to skip the explanation below - it was probably a one-off thing)

We arrived from our bus around 1:30 pm and were informed that we couldn’t check in before the official 3 pm. Fine - can’t count on getting in early every time but no harm in asking. After a quick lunch at the pub (no separate review, but our deluxe cheeseburger and Cobb salad were good) and a swim, we came back by 3:30, registered, were sent up to our room... and found the housekeeping staff still working on it. Certainly not a big deal, but in a small hotel with such light occupancy as it was that day, surely, with better planning, it’s possible to schedule cleaning between 11 and 3, so that guests don’t have to wait past 3:30 in damp swimwear, yearning for a shower.

Had the pleasure, of enjoying a relaxed and memorable lunch here, on June 18, 2019. We had the Spanish 21 burger. The large patty, had to be sirloin, was topped with lettuce, tomato, onion, a large slice of avocado and sriracha aioli. Cassandra, the bartender, served our food to us, along with her special Long Island Iced tea. This establishment, is clean, safe and reasonable. Many specials are offered. Located directly across from the Tropicana Casino, on Morris Avenue. You can be sure, we will continue to patronize this place.

Room tip: We have also stayed at the Chelsea Hotel. Great staff, clean. You will feel like you are in France. Each room is different.
