The hotel was nice even though most of the amenities like the pool, fitness room and arcade were closed due to covid. Staff was very friendly and service from the blue water grill was fast and the food was good. The shuttle was not running due to covid which was kind of a big deal because it's a 20 min walk on the boardwalk to get to the closest casino. Not their fault but saw the jitneys running so not sure why they couldn't do the shuttle with limited capacity. Would stay here again if they had the shuttle running.

This is our second stay here. Any review that says this place is on the Boardwalk is a little misleading. It is on the Inlet, it’s the tail end of the Boardwalk, and there is nothing for many blocks but the boards. But they are nice new boards, rebuilt after Hurricane Sandy, including Adirondack chairs for seating. Closest ocean beach is Maine Ave.

We are in a Deluxe Studio with a “kitchenette” that has a small full-size refrigerator, microwave, two burner stove and a dishwasher. The room seemed clean but for am M&M on the floor and furnishings and fixtures are very dated and need an update badly. The bathroom smelled bad and there is absolutely no ventilation in there. The toilet is a very low toilet. There is not a USB plug anywhere and few outlets. The WiFi is so weak as to be useless. There are only three elevators and they are restricted to four people because of Covid. It is like being trapped on a high floor to see elevator after elevator come by full or overfilled; very annoying. During mid-week it was better at times but still annoying. A fourth elevator goes only as high as floor seven, that’s good for the garage, restaurant and pool, which is closed now. Because of the Covid restrictions, all amenities are closed at this time. Housekeeping is limited. We were given one bar of soap for the shower that was the size of a chiclet for two people for a week. We requested housekeeping and they brought tons of supplies; way more than we could use. The television remote has no guide function and no channel list is provided. You have to click through all the cable junk to find anything, and the Mute button does not work. There is a DVD player (how quaint) but it is totally dead. The beds are comfortable enough and it is a good base to work from if you want a cheap place to stay. The beds were comfortable, and the room had a balcony with a nice view of the Inlet.

I requested a lower floor because I had read of the elevator issues. But now I think the strategy is to get the top floor, so you can get on before anybody at peak times. But then you have to stop at many floors as you go down because it stops a lot, often to an empty hall, but more often to a group of people hoping to get on.

There is a restaurant for take out on the seventh floor. Because of the dysfunctional elevators, I ended up running up and down many flights of stairs. The menu is limited, with breakfast, pizza, burgers, friend food and sandwiches. The breakfast was over salted and overcooked; not going back there.

We arrived last Sat. and were supposed to stay for a week. We left on Wed. They make you sign a COVID form as if it was supposed to mean something. The shower had human hair on the wall, on the patio chair, patio floor along with beach sand. The room wasn't that cool, so maintenance came up to look at it. The air filter was totally clogged! If COVID is that important to them and their guests, they should be cleaning!
The pool and hot tub are still not open. Heard many stories why it wasn't, including waiting for an inspector to approve it. Nearby hotels had their indoor pools open.
I even wrote to corporate, no response back from them. I'm guessing they don't really care when a guest has a lousy experience at their place.
Go look elsewhere for better accomodations.

Our 2 spacious and clean 1 bedroom suites were very comfortable and updated. Amazing ocean/bay balcony views in a quiet part of town. Walking distance to an uncrowded beach on the new boardwalk. Covid restrictions safely adhered to throughout the hotel. Staff was pleasant and accommodating. We will be returning again!!
