If you like seeing clothes and memorabilia of rock, urban and pop stars, the Hard Rock Hotel is like a fancy Marriott with items from Lady Gaga, N Sync, the Ramones, Madonna, Taylor Swift and Beyonce. With two connected "towers" of rooms, prepare to do some walking -- and if you're not paying attention, getting lost, as you have to take an elevator to the second floor to get to the elevators for the North Towers.
That said, the rooms are large enough. Though mine did not have a bath tub, the water pressure in the shower was serious. Also there's a small area to sit and put make-up on if you're taking the going part of Atlantic City seriously.
The mattress wasn't firm. Nor was it supportive. Think of it as a cheaper mattress that kind of breaks down after a bit... Probably started out better than it is.
Also, the rooms have small refrigerators and no mini-bar, so you can bring your own -- and you won't be tempted by overpriced snacks.

As for the casino, everywhere we went, it smelled of very strong cigarette smoke. Maybe in the higher stakes rooms the filtering was better. The cocktail lounges were filled with people having fun, seemingly independent of the gambling.

When it came to dining, the good court -- Flavor Tour - was probably the best option. Still a little pricey, the quality was good, wait time not bad -- and the options put people right in their own wheelhouse. The Hard Rock Cafe often had long waits; the Sugar Factory was filled with kids (as it should be!); the more expensive restaurants were just that. If you're hanging out and don't want to drop 50+ on an entree and a cocktail, head to the food court.

Also, it was easy access to the beach, If you wanted to go out, inhale the sea air and think while staring at the ocean: walk out the back door. Even though it was cold and overcast when we were there, the Steel Pier was rocking and there were clusters of people out on the beach.

Room tip: Ask for a room facing the water.

The Hardrock Hotel was beautifully renovated and the casino was vibrate and filled with energy. Both the hotel and the casino celebrated pop culture in a fun way. My mom and I stayed for an early mother's day celebration and we were both impressed. The rooms were stunning and service was superior. Even the smallest details (like slogans on the coasters in our room) were not forgotten and reinforced the hardrock theme. We visited two restaurants during our stay and they were both delicious. There were so many delicious places to choose from any palate would be pleased. Not only was the food good. The service was exceptional. In fact, all of the the staff members at this resort were amazing and provided the best customer service. We felt like VIP's the entire stay. The staff and the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino are the reason I will return again and again!
If you are looking for a fun, hip, place to stay this is it!

Visited the Hard Rock 5/10/19. Was really disappointed with the quality of the rooms in comparison to other AC hotels.

Rooms are small, the bed is on an angle so it's uncomfortable to lay down and watch tv.

The towels are cheap and small not soft at all. The shower is a move size but the pressure and water temperature are awful.

Toilet paper is that super thin 1 ply tissue paper.

No cosmetic mirror and the main bathroom mirror one if the lights was burnt out. No shower caps. No water bottles

Black out curtains do not reach the floor so the room is not dark in the morning.

The hotel itself is very trendy and clean. Casino is nice, good selection of games and food was okay.

Sound waves theatre: concert started a half hour late and ran less then an hour. Standing outside the theatre it gets way too crowded. People are crowded up by the escalators. Seemed very dangerous. Security during the concert kept telling people to sit down. Killed the vibe. The hard rock is suppose to be about the music and a good time. If I'm paying 200$ for a concert I should be able to jump dance clap and enjoy myself. It was a concert not a Broadway show or the opera.

Overall I was disappointed with my stay. I'd say come to gamble but don't stay.

The staff was very knowledgeable & kind. We ate at the buffet and it was delicious (though a little pricey... but hey, it’s Atlantic City). While the casino was bright, shiny, & new... there wasn’t much of a variety of slot machines. Mostly duplicates of the same 10 or so types scattered throughout the casino floor. But I was happy with what was available. The room was gorgeous! Very spacious, and had a fantastic view. Not to mention the beds were incredibly comfortable, too. The biggest downside to the room (which isn’t even the hotel/staff’s fault), was the couple next door were having v.e.r.y. loud.... “adult fun time”, which was rather annoying to deal with at nearly 2am. Apart from that, my stay was great, and will absolutely stay here again!
