The day of the wedding just about everything was flawless. Guests came up to us during dinner to complement how breathtaking cocktail hour was and how we really went "all out" (when really as a venue this was pretty affordable compared to everything else in Jersey.) We loved that guests could stay for the weekend and we were able to have ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, and after party (at the VUE) all at the same venue but all in different spaces. Mary Beth is a doll and took care of EVERYTHING. I just dropped off my centerpieces and decor ahead of time and didn't have to worry. I partied pretty hard and woke up the next morning and they had packaged everything ready for us to just load in the car and go. What a blessing. The food was delicious and the bartender knew how to please the crowd. Would absolutely recommend this venue for a classy and memorable party.

1) Elevators are scary. They behaved erratically.
2) Only 1 staircase goes to the ground. The other leaves you stuck in a lab rat maze. Has to be a fire code violation.
3) Found someone else's hair on the shower wall.

Dear wtully1,

Thank you for expressing your concerns. We are constantly updating our elevator systems so that they run as safely and efficiently when transporting our guest. We are currently in our peak season, occupying a average of 4,000 people daily. The elevators become in high demand, which causes the wait time to appear to be increased. We can ensure the functionality is up to date and in prime condition.
We have a variety of fir exits located throughout the building in case of emergency. There are signs located throughout the building to inform guests the proper evacuation protocol and indications on which way to evacuate.
We are very sorry the cleanliness of your room wasn't up to our typical standards and I apologize for the negative impression we gave you. We will use your comments about the hair on the shower wall as a training opportunity with our housekeeping team.
We appreciate your feedback and hope you will consider us when your in the area next time!

I stayed there in July on a peak weekend. As most complained and I had in the past of the elevators, this time there were no issues. I am sure as everyone leaves at 10a and checks in at 3-4p there is congestion. However, all other times there wasn't an issue. Maybe 2 minutes the most. The front desk agent Hazmie was very nice and put us on a top floor. However, my issue was 2167 is by the elevator. Very noisy partiers walk by late and wake you up. Ask for a room away from the elevators. I had a Harrahs card so I parked an extra block away for cheaper parking, $10 during the week, and $15 weekends. I have a specialty car and wanted to park it myself and in certain spots to avoid dings. The room had a great view higher up than in the past. Yes the place could use some updating, but appreciating some of the nostalgia offsets that. The beds were comfortable and the mini frig and safes worked properly. The shower and bathroom was modern and clean.

Room tip: Choose a room away from the elevators
