Normally we like to stay away from the crowds of the boardwalk, and stay at the Borgata. Last 4th of July weekend, my family and I stayed at Caesar's. Nice, spacious casino floor with good slot options, and is easy to navigate once you get the lay of the land.
We stayed in an older tower. I forget the name, but it is to the right of check-in if you are facing the front desk. The room was comfortable enough, but could have used some refreshing and updating. My sister's room had brown water flowing from the faucet and shower when they first arrived. That was eventually taken care of.
You really can't beat the location on the boardwalk, especially for the AC fireworks that weekend. The pool is ridiculously small and looked a little beat up, but the beach access is so convenient.
We ate and shopped at The Pier, attached to the casino/hotel. Buddakan and The Cosmopolitan were both great.More
