“Stay in the Newer Rooms/Towers if You Can”
Reviewed 27 March 2012

Normally we like to stay away from the crowds of the boardwalk, and stay at the Borgata. Last 4th of July weekend, my family and I stayed at Caesar's. Nice, spacious casino floor with good slot options, and is easy to navigate once you get the lay of the land.

We stayed in an older tower. I forget the name, but it is to the right of check-in if you are facing the front desk. The room was comfortable enough, but could have used some refreshing and updating. My sister's room had brown water flowing from the faucet and shower when they first arrived. That was eventually taken care of.

You really can't beat the location on the boardwalk, especially for the AC fireworks that weekend. The pool is ridiculously small and looked a little beat up, but the beach access is so convenient.

We ate and shopped at The Pier, attached to the casino/hotel. Buddakan and The Cosmopolitan were both great.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in one of the newer towers.

Loved the palacial hotel, the decor and artwork, the room was big and comfy, the bathroom quartz TV was a hit, but the cleanliness of the room left something to be desired. When we arrived, we found someone's dirty sock below the nightstand. To make matters worse, we woke up at 1 am itching from bedbugs. We checked out by 3 am.

Room Tip: Got a good deal on the room using Expedia. Ask about bedbugs before signing for the room.

I have stayed at Caesar's before, but this time despite asking for a room in Centurion tower, was told I'd have to take Temple Tower unless I wanted to pay $60 for an upgrade. DO NOT take the 4th or 5th floors as you will get a room with NO outside window. It simply looks down on the lobby. This makes the entire room feel very clautrophobic. Plus, the window is not tinted or mirrored in any way so there is a clear view from the lobby into your room. This will result in leaving the shade down 24/7, making the room more claustrophobic. The bed is very comfortable. The bathroom is tiny. If you like seeing outside, make sure you don't get one of these rooms. If you like your privacy do not get these rooms. PS, the woman who checked me in was not willing to compromise at all either. I was highly disappointed in my stay at Caesar's this time around.

Caesar's Atlantic City does not compare favorably to its Las Vegas cousin, but is still a decent place to stay when in AC. The hotel decor and overall feel seems a bit dated, right down to the drab cocktail waitress outfits, but my room was better than expected and seemed more recently updated. The casino floor seemed overly smokey (ventilation issue?) and the atmosphere was a bit dull, but the staff were generally friendly. The Borgota is nicer if you have a choice, but unlike Caesar's it's not on the boardwalk. I would stay here again.

Recently spent 4 nights at Caesar's in Atlantic City and had a lovely room in the South Temple Tower. I was very skeptical at first about having a room with no outside windows and not sure if we would face the lobby or street. Upon arrival we were greeted by a very friendly lady and told to come back in 2 hours which we did and our room was very nice and so very clean. The bed is the most comfortable we have had at any hotel. Very quiet and it faced the lobby . Parking was easy and $5 for the 4 nights. The one thing we would have liked was to be able to go to breakfast in Caesar's. We walked to Trumps to 24 Central. Would go back again. Liked being able to go from Caesar's to Bally's without going outside at night.

Room Tip: Go earlier than the 4 PM check in and they will try to get you a room earlier.

I have stayed at Caesar's Atlantic City for a number of years and never have had a complaint. The front desk staff is friendly and accommodating. The rooms are kept in shining condition and the appointments are modern. Stay in Centurion Tower is possible. The buffet is good and the Cafe Roma restaurant serves excellent food. They have a "Breakfast anytime" menu that did not include pancakes, but they accommodated us with pancakes at 9 in the evening. The casino staff at one time was cold and business-like but now is friendly and makes losing your money a pleasant experience.
