Santa Cruz cemetery presents the ornately beautiful graves that the Timorese are famous for. In that sense, one could easily spend an hour or more examining the graveyard. But there's also an over-riding sense of sadness (and also outrage) that this was the scene of a massacre of local people by the Indonesian government, during their time of invasion. A very thought provoking destination.
