We stayed here for 5 days whilst visiting the Galapagos Islands and it was an easy 5-10 min walk into the main town. The staff were friendly and showed us around our room and gave us a lot of information when we arrived but going on so many trips and making the most of our time we didn't see them very often as they left at 5/6pm in the evenings. They did leave an emergency number if needed.

Breakfast was included and was pretty basic (scrambled egg, fruit and bread rolls) which we had a couple of times and if you needed breakfast for a trip they were happy to provide you with something.

I was able to borrow a hair dryer for my visit, there was snorkel gear to borrow if you needed it for a trip and a laundry service ($5 a load). The pool in the back is very small which we did not use and I don't think was used by any guests during our visit.

Overall the hotel was pretty basic but it had everything we needed. The rooms were cleaned daily. My only comment would be that apart from the 1st night the shower was either freezing cold or boiling hot!

NOTE - the hotel only accepts payment in cash. I didn't find this clearly written anywhere (booked through booking.com) and there was a handwritten note on reception explaining this. As we were not aware of this we did need to draw out cash from an ATM. There was a fairly large bank in the town and it was easy enough to get the cash we needed but I would have liked to of known before arriving!

We were booked at Hotel Verde Azul through a tour company (Guanguiltagua Expeditions) and we couldn't have been more pleased! Our room had 2 double beds, a hammock, and a nice view outside. Breakfast was included and served on the community patio, poolside. Laundry was also included, which helped us out tremendously so that we didn't end up having to take home wet bathing suits. The staff was very helpful and the managers were really great and friendly. The location was also good; within walking distance from a lot of stores and restaurants.

I would highly recommend this hotel!

A budget hotel but plenty good for a stay in Puerto Ayora. Rooms are good size, but no elevator so beware if you have big bags to lug up and down. My wife and I had a third floor room so we had a good view out to the ocean. It's set back a little from the main drag, but not too far, easy walking distance to town and the Darwin station.

The girl at the desk, I forget her name but it may have been Stephanie, was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fine. They only take cash, which I guess I should have known because it's mentioned in some of the reviews here, but not when you book. There is no one at the desk after about 6pm I think, which wasn't a problem for us and there's a way to get a hold of someone if you need help. Wifi was slow, we used our 3g connection often instead.

Family of four stayed at this hotel in early July 2017. Enno and all were very helpful and accomodating. Room was very clean and comfortable. Within walking distance of main street of Puerto Arroyo, Charles Darwin Research Station, etc. Nice breakfast by the pool and you can watch the Darwin Finches there. We were very happy with our trip and staying here. We stayed 3 nights, took a boat to Isabela for two nights, and then returned here for one night before heading back to Quito. Both rooms were very nice.

No-fussy hotel, budget friendly. There's lot to do on the island, so you're probably not going to spend that much time there. But even so there's a nice swimming pool area to hang on to. Simple but good breakfast. The owners leave at 5h30 PM so be sure not to forget your keys, otherwise you're going to be locked out.

Room Tip: Top level rooms might have a nicer view.

The hotel is not on the main street but it is close enough for all things. The hotel itself is not big but it has everything needed. The room is spacious and the view is nice. The staff is welcoming and leaves guests with warm and pleasant feeling. I highly recommend the nearby night market with delicious and reasonably priced grilled/fried fish.
