This hotel was undergoing renovations at the time of my visit. The hotel is out of town at least a 10 minute taxi ride. The staff very helpful despite the language difficulty. English is not spoken here. The rooms were clean, roomy and comfortable.

Room Tip: choose a room facing the pool and garden

I went for 13 days in February, and it was great! The hotel is clean and the rooms are very comfortable. The staff was kind and always helpful, and the food was beyond delicious; I hardly ate outside of the hotel. I'm definitely coming back with the rest of my family sometime, hopefully soon! If you're looking for an easy, comfortable hotel to stay in while you travel the Galápagos islands, this is the one. Plus, the travel agency that owns the hotel offers a lot of travel packages/trips so you can decide what you want to do and get the most out of your time on the islands.

I booked the stay when the website listed the hotel as in the CBD. They subsequently moved the hotel out of town without notifying me. When I arrived for check in the hotel was closed. I called and they said they would refund my money as I needed to stay in the CBD. Never happened and I have been dealing with the credit card company ever since.

The Garden is very conveniently located to the port of Puerto Ayora (maybe two blocks). It has nice rooms and some separate apartments for larger parties. The staff are very helpful. The breakfast buffet is delicious and a great way to start the day. The pool is a nice respite at the end of the day. The ping-pong and pool tables are also good for family fun. As in all of the Galapagos archipelago, internet is available but spotty. There is a good internet cafe at the base of Baltra Street.

Room Tip: You can have eggs your way, just ask. Ask for any help you need, the staff is VERY helpful

first, the staff is the best, very sweet, polite, and always smiling. Don't speak much English, but, we used google translate. the cook is awesome, she will make you something to take on early morning adventures if you ask. they had no TV when we were there in May, said cable was coming soon. no refrigerator or tables in rooms. AC worked great, place was always clean. they do not supply toiletries (paper only) you can buy beer $6 and Gatorade, $3. they will play kind of music you like while at pool, and also help you learn to snorkel. need a cab $5, into town, they will call for you. overall, we didnt miss the TV and had fun learning Spanish and playing pool with the staff.bring earplugs, lots of chickens and roosters in the early morning and until sunset. internet very slow, best to use in lobby. The staff are the best ever, please tip them, they work so hard.
