We stayed here for one night while visiting the Ramses II temple in Abu Simbel. We thought we had seen everything but the Ramses temple was so awesome it once again shocked us as to how ancient Egyptians could build these remarkable temples and pyramids. The hotel was very simple, with clean room and bathroom but no frills. Breakfast was very Nubian with many local dishes. These simple hotels helped us feel part of the local scene but don't expect luxury, simple people who try very hard to please. We enjoyed our stay very much. Once again Djed Tours looked after us well.

We spent one night here so we could spend extra time at 5he temple. It was walking distance and we also wandered around the town. The hotel was fine with clean rooms and good hot water. It was quiet and we had a nice simple dinner there as well. Worth spending the night in Abu Simbel

We spent one night a the Tuya hôtel in January 2018.

We arrived late and the manager, Ossama greeted us with a large smile. The hotel is very clean and beds are comfortable. It is a small, local venue with charm and warmth.

We asked for little things to eat and it was delivered to our room. The breakfast was healthy with plenty of choices and, again, a very clean dining room.

The closest place to the Temples. Excellent choice by our operator, Memphis Tours.

Back again after 2.5 month in Abu Simbel i had the great luck to stay in Tuya Hotel which is on a beautifully quiet street strewn with flowers and plants. Well actually the whole of Abu Simbel is very quiet and peaceful and i was so happy to be back again.A welcome respite after the craziness of Cairo. It is a small colourful Hotel. The room was basic but clean and comfortable. The hotel has its own restaurant and we had the most amazing lunch. The ingredients were all fresh and beautifully prepared. We were also able to attend the sound and light show at the evening which is an absolute must do,it really touch my heart again. We were able to take a a leisurely walk to the temples whilst enjoying the pleasantness of the area and ambience. The Hotel may not have any star rating at this stage but it is very comfortable The People in Abu Simbel we found to be very different - there is a peacefulness that resonates through them. There are beautiful smiling children and the people are kind and gentle. We felt so welcome.Thank you Mohamed and your incredible Team for our wonderful stay at your Hotel and the warm Nubian hospitality. We will most certainly be back
