“Shame about the lack lustre accommodation”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 January 2012

Its sad when you would prefer to sleep in the lounge or even the spa isn't it. The hotel grounds are simply magnificent, the pools lovely, the gym excellent and all accompanied by superb friendly service. However whilst the size of accommodation is perfectly fine the overall feel is rather basic. In truth we spent so little time in our room, did it matter?? But really a bath you cannot lie flat out in? Why? A hair dryer have which should be exhibited in a museum (excellent ones available in spa ) and soft furnishings which are; faded, dated, cheap and tired looking. Don't expect flowers or fruit in your room or any poolside treats for that matter but you can rely on excellent house keeping. I loved the activities provided and the trainer in the gym ( Ahmed ) was professional, motivated and should be running a high powered boot camp! I found it interesting that there wasnt an adults only pool area.

I stayed here with my girlfriend for 10 days as part of our holiday to Egypt and it was without doubt the best hotel I have ever stayed in. The service and attention to detail was amazing.

The resort is beautifully manicured and has such a calm feeling is is extremely easy to relax here. The food was first class, though I was not that keen on the 'beef bacon' at breakfast.

The treatments in the spa were great as if the reef just off the beach.

All places I stay will now be compared to the four seasons sharm.

Room Tip: We had an ocean view room, much better than ones with a garden view.

I have stayed here twice now and I am sure I will do so again. A brilliant hotel for a relaxing holiday. The staff are exceptionally helpful, the food is extremely good (especially in the Italian restaurant) and the resort itself is a beautiful.

My only reservations would be that the drinks are quite expensive and that it is a very popular resort for families, so couples traveling during school holidays should expect there to be a bit of a kindergarten atmosphere at times. My wife and I enjoyed relaxing by the pool at the spa during the day as it is usually completely free of children.

Stayed here for some days with my wife over Christmas. It was our second time in Sharm el Sheikh during the last 3 years and we didn't regret staying here. Let's take things one by one:
Room: Large and comfortable, we were very happy with it. Nice view over the gardens to the sea, free coffee and tea, fully equiped kichen, large beds. Decoration was a bit outdated, hotel starts to show its years.
Gardens: A paradise, some of the best we have seen. Congragulations to the landscaper and the gardeners.
Beach: In Sharm there no beaches to speak off, however this hotel does have one. You can't enter the sea off cource directly, you have to use the jetty and dive over the coral reef. Snorceling is great, one shouldn't miss it, it's one of the few things that make Sharm memorable.
Breakfast: Fine, everything there plus some local delicacies. Extra sweets over Christmas were phantastic.
Food: Ordered room service a couple of times, excellent quality and service, very pleased.
Public spaces - bars - entertainment: This is maybe the basic flaw of this hotel. Public spaces are small and there is no large bar or entertainment space where guests gather to have a drink. There are of course a couple of bars but they seemed empty and uninviting. Maybe it was that there were not many people at the hotel, it seems tourists have been scared away due to the recent political unrest. In any case, it wasn't much fun around the hotel, and one got easily bored. We prefered staying in our room and watching tv.
Staff: Nothing to complain about, apart from a little incident at the beginning of our stay, 4 Seasons standards prevailing. Everyone friendly and - this was a pleasant surprise given the situation elsewhere - not constantly asking for tips. My wife was sick and asked for a thermometre at one point, immediately the doctor came to see if everything was OK.

Conclusion: Hotel was fine and is recommended. We won't be coming back to Sharm el Sheik soon, as there is not much to offer (apart from diving/snorceling and goint to St cathrine's monastery, which we did our first time around) and our second time was a bit tiresome and not so interesting. However if we were to come back we most probably would consider staying here again.

No shocks at the Four seasons!

Food.Waha in the evening, cold, ran out of gas for the heaters! Italian, great.

New year in The Ballroom a disapointment, food and service very good and an EXCELLENT chocolate room, yes it was all chocolate. Entertainment was poor, karaoke singers, no MC, watching kids dance to techno, needed a good DJ,New Year countdown at 00.05 and bloody smokers at the table.

Go to Soho Square and you won't go back but not a bad curry but an expensive steak!

Ahmed, asst manager, was very good in sorting out our rooms. We had a two bedroomed suite by the Waha pool, much better location than the Gizera Suites. Be warned, if you want two rooms near the Waha pool the may NOT be next to each other but 15-20 mtrs up some steps away, not good for young kids.

Waha pool good but 90% of the beds do not face the sun due to location. Small beach ok.

Resort quiet due to the unrest in Cairo. DO NOT WORRY. Stayed in the FS in Cairo last year.

Glad I stayed at the FS.

Room Tip: Waha area is better.

My husband and two daughter spent 12 days from the 17th Dececmebr. From the time we arrived to the time we departed we were treated like Royalty. The staff, service and food were outstanding.
We were there for our daughter 14th Birthday. The Four Seasons made her day very special with a card and a Birthday cake.
We had a Christmas to remember and that was down to the staff at the hotel. Never to be forgotten. The pool staff were fantastic and could not do enough for us. Can't wait to return.

Room Tip: A must for all.

We stayed here for five nights over valentines two years ago, and have said since then that this was one of our favorite locations mainly due to the high quality food and service. The food was amazing - we had a thai night; a BBQ (lobsters and Australian meats are freely available); amongst over cuisines.

The hotel room was beautiful and Egyptian inspired, we had our own large balcony that looked over the ocean also.

Room Tip: Highly recommend the BBQ night
