Visited Kahramana 18.01.11- 01.02.11, and had a very nice holiday here.
The hotel is placed nearby the city and 5 min walk to the beach.

The pool area was beeing redecorated during our first week, but was finished in week two. Small, but nice pool area, where we spent our days in the sun.

All the hotels staff was so nice and helpful, and maked our holliday something to remember.

Restaurant should be upgraded, to more elegant style.
It looked dark and unfashionable.
All inclusive meals were ok, but there should have been more fresh fruits for snacks. That would been nice to eat by the pool.
(Only pommes frites and baguettes for "snacks", only one hour before lunch and dinner.)

The plastic glasses 125cl, was a bit small for cold drinks and beer, and should have been larger.

We ordered a room with balcony. First we got a room without wiew or balcony, and the room smelled really bad. We talked to the receptionist and got a nice room with poolwiew.
Small balconys without chairs, but we asked for chairs and got it! :)

Some guests had problems with noisy music from Fly bar upstairs at night.

Nice hotel for young people who can stand music during the night!.
A lot of stairs, so not that good for older people, or people in wheelchairs.

The Kahramana hotell were renovated when we were there, so maybe it will be ok in the future. But when we were there, in December, it would have been better closed. The first room we were offered was in a kind of basement with no windows, and we asked for the balcony we had payed for. Then we were taken to a room with poolview. The "balconies" in this hotell are about 1.5 m2 with no chairs or anything. The rooms are very small compared with what is normal in Egypt (were there are a LOT of nice hotels), the bathroom tiny, old and filthy. At least ours.
The pool could not be used when we were there. The ice cold water was the smallest problem. The pool was filthy and because of the maintance it was sand and filth everywere. And the jacuzzi - a joke. The promised entertainment: apart from the noise from building, it was disko megaloud by the "pool" during day. Nighttime we were blissed with incredible load music from an openair disko about 80 meters from our room. Food: breakfast was simple but ok. The dinner buffet was not worth 80 LE. And the staff: some were really nice, but the reception did not make any effort to solve our problems.
The only good thing about this hotel, at least at the moment, is the location. Close to the center and not too far fraom the beach. But the beach was closed when we were there..

A great base for all activities, central for people watching, this is our 7th year so it must be ok!! All the staff are helpful and friendly and Ibrahim abd Elatief and Mohammed Sharkaway will go out of their way to make your holidaytone to remember.

I stayed in Kahrama Hotel for 6 nights with my wife and 2 year old child. Booked it and went with an open mind just like the previous reviews had stated. I was expecting not alot from this hotel as previous reviews had suggested but after staying there I can honestly say this hotel is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I wish I had reflected on the previous reviews and stayed away. The price and the location was the only thing that attracted me to it. The service/condition of the hotel was so poor I wished I had payed double or tripple for a hilton/novotel/marriot which are 10000 times better. Here is a short list of why you should stay away if you want a good holiday and beleive me Naama bay is beautiful dont let the hotel ruin your stay.

The reception and management staff are rude/ heartless to any problems you may have and dont know anything about customer service. (Especially Ebrahim at reception)

I was offered a room with 2 single beds. Very cheeky of Ebrahim seeing as though he could see I was with my wife. He then got annoyed when asked to have a different room with a double bed so he gave us a room on ther other side of the hotel. So we had to climb down a flight of stairs with our buggy and walk accross the hotel then climb a flight of stair to our room. The room had no A/C and so we were offered another room where we had to climb another series of steps and at the top far corner of the hotel was our horrible room. We then relaised a day later that our phone was not working so missed important visit from the doctor and no service for 2 days whilst they repaired the line.

The breakfast was rubblish unless you are into hard rock coissants and other hard bakery items plus dried bicuits, selection of 2 cold drings which were served in plastic cups and were not diluted properly so all you could taste was syrup. The tea and cofee was the only thing you could enjoy but even that was served outside and there were so many fly's around the dropped tea/coffee near the dispenser. (We ended up buying breakfast from outside everyday). We were so glad we didn't go all inclusive as the smell of the food at dinner time was really bad!!!!!

The pool was dirty

Just to give an example of how inconsiderate the management are, they were allowing refurbishment work to take place at awkward times such as men were curtting tiles at 3 in the morning, painting at peak day time and therefore strong paint smell as you going in and out the hotel reception. You had to dodge ladders and dirty cloth layed out on the floor. Very selfish of management to allow this to happen.

There was no animation program as advertised.

Their idea of a kids corner is to have a small slide, a truck and some toddlers chair laid out near the pool table where adults play snooker and smoke ciggereates. LOL (Unbelievable!!!)

There was no mention of their services in the hotel rooms. We only realised that a spa existed after we asked at the reception. No point going to the spa coz it looked filthy and wasn't really a spa it had massage beds only. No sauna/ steam room or jacuzzi.

Please please please, for your own sanity stay away and spend the extra money and get yourself a hotel which actually is what it states.

Stayed in Kahramana hotel in namma bay in october 2010 and was all inclusive. The location was excellent just a 2 minute walk into the town centre where there was lots of bars, rests and shops. The private beach was abit of a dissapointment, it was tiny and everyone was crammed onto it. You had to buy your own drinks at the beach and could not take your own. (adding extra costs to the holiday) There was bus down to another beach everyday which was excellent however the bus never came to pick us up so had to locate a hotel and tell them the problem, so they had to help us home. We missed our lunch due to this and the hotel was not willing to make us anything (even though it was there falut) You were not allowed to fill up your water bottles in the hotel, They had no pint glasses, so had to use 125ml glasses for everything, which ment alot of trips to the bar. Was not allowed to take water or any food or beverages to the room. The all inclusive was not worth it. Got really ill on holiday and had to be addmitted to the hospital, when i got back my boyfriend tryed to bring me some dinner and drinks upto the room but was told he wasnt allowed event though he explained i was really ill and was not fit to come out of the room. In the end i had to go down in my pjs to get a drink of water. Was disgraceful.. The rooms where cleanish and cleaned daily. There was no entertained what so ever - we where there 11 nights. There was a dart board but they had no darts. They had a pool table but had to pay £2 english £ to play. I would not go back to this hotel. We went to a few other hotels on trips and stuff i would go to the aquapark hotel or the vista lounge hotel. The weather was great though would defo go back to egpyt.

where do i start ? the rooms were shabby and in need of a refurb .the shower tiles were filthy or cracked and loose.the aircon was noisy and leaked water.the swimming pool and surrounding area was a disgrace you would not be able to bring a small child here as there was broken and sharp tiles around the pool along with a very dangerous looking wooden manhole cover.we were all inclusive but i dont this hotel knew the meaning of this as meals were served at certain times and the drinks were served in very small plastic vending cups.the hotel caters for mainly russian holidaymakers who are top of the league when it comes to rudeness and quite frankly the food was crap.the saviour of this holiday was the fact that we went with a great bunch of friends but i would not recommend anybody spending their hard earned cash coming to this s***hole..........unless you happen to russian
