Chef Ken and Co make a phenomenal breakfast! Lunch and dinner are also very good, but we tend to come for breakfast. The service is fantastic - the owner Rob Fishman - and his staff of managers really train their servers to look after customers. Most restaurants do not train staff sufficiently - even the summer kids here have to pass a test on service in order to get a job. Everyone on the waitstaff and management staff without exception try to give great service.
Now for the food - best pancakes around, excellent omelettes - I love Ken's nova scotia egg dish when it is on the menu. Dinner has a great selection - Ken is professionally trained and he tries to infuse his own touches in to the dishes. Lunch is very good - but more standard - perfect for when you are coming off of the beach. The takeout window is also a great option.
The atmosphere - you are literally above the sand. Great view of the ocean. The renovation post-Sandy has made is light, airy and open. The fish prints representing Rob's parents are a very pretty and sentimental touch.
