Savasi Island Resort is one of our favourite resorts in Fiji. We stayed in the Coral Reef Villa which was fantastic. The Villa had a living area with an adjoining kitchen with a good sized fridge. It contains two bedrooms and two bathrooms. We had our bedroom away from the kids through a separate outdoor walkway, so we were afforded a lot more privacy than you would get in a standard hotel room. Both bedrooms, bathrooms and the living area all had doors leading out to the wrap around balcony and the infinity pool which looked out to stunning views of the ocean and the local blowholes. It was lovely seeing how the villas were built incorporating the nature around them.

The restaurant was fantastic with separate seating areas for each group at the resort. It made you feel when you were sitting down to breakfast, lunch or dinner that you were the only ones at the resort. All meals include vegan, gluten free and dairy free options. The restaurant staff also gave you the option to sit in different locations for lunch or dinner, such as a cave overlooking the ocean, the beach or even on your own villa balcony.

The kids favourite feature of the resort were the activities. They partook in snorkelling, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding and fishing.

The final night we were there, it was Meke night, where the local village came and performed songs and dances for us. They were very entertaining and even invited guests to join in their dancing. It was followed by dinner which as Lovo night, where all the food is cooked Fijian style.

We really enjoyed Savasi Island Resort. As it is a smaller, boutique resort, you really felt as if you were on your own private island plus you got that personalised service where everyone knew your name. I’d like to give a special thanks to manager Ma and her staff for their fantastic service and hospitality. You made our experience that much more special. Vinaka vaka levu!

My husband & I were lucky enough to go to Savasi for our honeymoon! It was truly the most magical place to go for such a special occasion. Anything you need, the staff make it happen! Want to feel special and pampered? The staff will do anything in their power to make your stay unforgettable. The room was beautiful with a private pool and ocean view. The meals were delicious and different everyday. The cocktails were delicious. There aren't enough words in the English language to describe how wonderfully amazing this resort is. It is worth the trip and the cost to stay at Savasi Island!

Room Tip: Resort quality without the typical resort environment of large crowds.

Just spent an idyllic week at Savasi Island with our family - two children ages 9 months and 3.5 years. The villa felt like home and was truly our own private space. The staff were incredibly accommodating - and really cared about the little things like Isaac who washed our baby's bib and utensils each night. Great food - I have to endorse the recommendation of the banana pancakes! But for us it was great being somewhere that was so relaxed and real.

We can only join the other reviews in confirming that this is the perfect get-away. It is hard to find a place that is both luxurious, private, relaxed and caters perfectly for children. Our 5 and 7 year old (and we!) had a great time.

The first great thank you goes to Ma and her team. She creates a very warm welcoming environment tailored to the wide variety of needs of her guests. It is great to see place like this run by a family that grew up on the area. Junior and his team went out of their way to tailor activities for us and the kids. It always felt very genuine. The soccer games were legendary!

We stayed in the Coral Villa which was perfect. An amazing amount of space and privacy with an incredible beachfront infinity pool.

The island itself is great to explore and a lot of care goes into the landscaping. Great to see that so much of the food comes from the grounds. Do take the herbal tour.

Food was great and the set up allows for private meals in different locations every meal. I would encourage the cook to go even further in using local fruits, herbs and plants in the dishes.

We definitely hope to be back!

I do not know where to begin; I have too many good things to say for one review! First, we are a family of four, children ages 12 & 14, and we spent 7 nights in the Seabreeze Villa. From the warm welcome to the farewell song everything was wonderful. The customer service was exceptional. Ma did an excellent job and really wanted to make sure that everything was perfect for us. Junior and the activities staff, DJ, Abel, Tui, Simeli, and all the guys that played soccer with my children (& husband) in the afternoon, made every activity fun and relaxed. As an example, my husband and children went spear fishing and Abel fished and snorkeled with my children for over 2 hours while they tried to catch "just one more!" My husband lasted about an hour! Abel was so patient and kind. This is just one example of how easy going and flexible the staff was in helping us plan our activities, on and off the island. We really enjoyed snorkeling, visiting the village and waterfall, kayaking at salt pond, hiking across the street from the resort, and swimming in the channel and jumping off the platforms.

The chef and dining room staff, Isaac, Vito, Selemo, and Kesa, were also wonderful. The meals were delicious and there was always a great variety of dishes to choose from. We really enjoyed every meal, breakfast, lunch and dinner. I really looked forward to Selema's cocktail of the day each evening before dinner. They were all delicious! One highlight was participating in the kava ceremony and the lovo dinner.

Our villa was beautiful! It had a huge deck and sat right on a sandy beach. The rooms were very large with plenty of space. We felt very private and hardly saw any other guests. Housekeeping did an excellent job. The villa was always very clean. Although both rooms had air conditioning, you did not need it. It was lovely falling asleep listening to the ocean and feeling the sea breezes.

It takes a little extra effort to get here, but it is well worth it!
