I cannot speak to the hotel rooms because I only ate lunch there. The lunch buffet was fabulous. I travel to India once or twice a year for business and have tried taken my technical support team to several of the large local hotels for their lunch buffets. Avasa had one of my favorites. As a person who doesn't eat a lot of spicy food, I look for options that are mild. They offered a large variety. Two of my favorites were the cheese pizza (very thin crust) and their fried cheese (called Paneer).
I'm sorry but Indians just do not do desserts as well as we do in the US, so I had more Paneer for dessert instead.
They also had at least 12 varieties of chicken dishes and their Biryani (a rice dish with yummy spices) was really good as well.
