“Excellent stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 February 2012

I stayed in this resort for 5 days in December 2011, it was my 1st stay in this resort. After reading good reviews on trip advisor I booked this resort. And I must say this I really liked my decision. This resort is practically on the beach, from the resort's back gate u can reach the beach in 2 mins. Very clean room and bathroom, although room might look a bit old but its very clean and is of good size. Balcony in each room adds to the staying experience. The pool was nice and very clean. The pool-side bar added to the experience. Food is very good, although limited options in breakfast, but good dinner makes it up. Pool-side dining is also an experience in itself. The staff is very friendly and assisted us in all aspects. I would recommend this resort to anyone and will surely stay here next time in Goa :)

I am pleased and happy with the quality of Santana Beach Resort, located right on the beach (2 min walking distance). The hotel has two pools and gardens, which will lead to beach through “Calamari’ a decent restaurant. The rooms are spacious and stylish. The hotel design is modern and makes a change to many other hotels in the area. Rooms are clean, with a kitchen. Bathroom has a separate shower area. Complimentary breakfast is average. More than anything the Candolim beach is decent and less crowed than Calanguate beach.

We stayed over new year for 2 weeks. No enough time. The rooms are basic but big and clean. The bathroom could do with a tidy up looks a little old. The room boys were great my liitle girl would rush to see the towel art everyday.

The grounds are lovely, clean and very green. The small pool I would not go in looked very mucky. The big pool was great good for a few relaxing days. Pool bar great as well :)
I didn't like the beach, found it very dirty. This maybe because they had a festival just before we went. We got a taxi to ashwam beach twice, it was lovely there. Don't think it is splet like that though.

The food is lovely in the hotel and every where we ate. The stonehouse and fishermans cove were the best reasurants we tried. the food at ashwam beach shacks were amazing and so cheap.

Other people in our group stayed at phoenix park this has a bit more luxury if u pay for premier room but Santana over all was much better. They came down and spent the day at Santana most of the time.

Can't wait to go back soon :) All the staff at the hotel were so friendly and helpful they really make ur stay :)

We have been a number of times and it improves each time. The management and staff will go out of their way to make the holiday the best you could have.We have looked for places to rival the Santana but none found taking in the costs and location. Will we return YES.What you require for food and relaxation for a holiday is at the Santana and the beach.

Room Tip: Ask for an upgrade, its not expensive

we stayed at santana last year for 3 weeks on our first ever holiday in goa, we were that impressed we booked again this year for 4 weeks and were not disappointed returning home alas on 5th feb.firstlywe must compliment the very friendly and helpful staff, everybody from the owner to the gardeners were spot on.a special mention to our room boys basson and neru they even remembered our names from last year great lads.the rooms were large with fans a/c and spotless 2 pools and beautiful well maintained gardens. breakfast was more than ample cereals, toast, jams, etc.and eggs any way you like cooked with extras every day such as beans ,cheese or fruit.unlimited tea or coffee and sometimes lassi.a short walk trough the gardens takes you to their beach shack the calamari which is slightly dearer than other shacks but serve great food.we would return to this hotelanytime leanne and her staff do a wonderful joband could not be praised enough

Room Tip: ask for room 502 lovely front garden

First impressions were, what a lovely lush tropical setting. Our first meal was in the beach shack called Calamari, owned by Santana. Wonderful food! The service can be slow but sit back and enjoy the ocean view, remember you are on holiday.......relax! Sunbathe by the pool with a waterfall feature or relax in the lush gardens or use the comfy sunbeds on the beach supplied by Calamari, so long as you eat and drink there you can stay all day!

The hotel is handy for a walk along the beach to neighbouring Calangute and Baga. Buses are cheap and if you are up for an adventure you can hop on and go to the local markets or nearby Panjim, via a free ferry ride. Also you can walk up to the local Fort.

We found 2 weeks wasn't long enough. We travelled in January as a couple and would definately consider returning in the future. The rooms have air-con and ceiling fans which was most welcome as the temps were over 30c in the day and 20c+ at night. Comfy beds and pillows too! Tea/coffee supplied and mini bar if you want. No hairdryer though, but the sun will dry your hair in no time!

Ask for a quiet room as there is a lane leading to the beach, which we were alongside in room 522 and we could hear scooters, dogs etc most nights. We used the air-con to drown out any noise.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room.

Spent 2 weeks here, 1st room we were given was a bit dark asked if we could change - no problem! Breakfast great the usual eggs but always a supplementary item such as beans, tomato or fruit offered and always served with a smile! 2 star hotel offering 5 star service! Gorgeous peaceful garden area! Didn't like calamari beach shack much but next shack to the left offers good food and service.
