There's so much to know and learn of this very auspicious figure who turns India to a re-known country.
A very valuable place to visit and the Government of India received and welcome visitors with open doors as they do not collect any entrance fees to this historical place of visit.

However, better infrastructure would served the visitors much more conducively.

Nice place.. parking here is limited and free.
Peaceful place, you should visit in morning because it would be less crowded then. Teachings and old writings are displayed in there. Watching different types of charkhas and their evolution with time is also good experience. All the attachments of mahatma are very well preserved and you get to see them.
Beautiful and very positive place to visit. Must visit place if in Gujarat. Its beautiful to experience the surroundings and living conditions of such a great personality, our National Father. All the room are are well kept and preserved to their originality. With the river in front this place is more natural and peaceful.

It the famous and historical place from where Mahatma Gandhi led the Dandi march also known as the Salt Satyagraha on 12 March 1930. In recognition of the significant influence that this march had on the Indian independence movement the Indian government has established the ashram as a national monument. It is really very well payed out and going through it you start associating yourself as if you were also present there . A must visit place.

This is not a place but a life beyond thought and feeling which changed the world. It’s like a breathing phenomenon which makes you alive. Though I have visited this place many times but have no mingled words which can actually reflect inner feelings mixed with the present conditions and facilities available for general and VIP visitors. There is no entry fees and Good souvenirs shops but there is Gandhi everywhere. Sabarmati river is cleaned and brings cooling effects here when you feel a bit agitated due to lots of vehicles around entrance. Every generation can be inspired by this place
