Description: Somewhere on this planet is a land...where stories are born and reborn with every passing moment. A land where there are trees that will tell you stories that no book can. Where stories wake up in playgrounds every morning and go to sleep with the waves every night. It is a land where stories smell of cinnamon and pepper and coconut... where stories are trapped in fishing nets and yet roam free in every heart. It is a land where stories have no borders and speak every language...and are found in every pair of eyes...happy stories, sad stories...stories of all the yesterdays that went past us and every tomorrow that is waiting to happen. You can call this land a piece of paradise or swargam or jannat. It is where you are the story-teller... and you are also the story. Yes... somewhere on earth is a land called Fort Kochi. It is the land of Qissa, ...Qissa...that Persian word for story..... We all have our Qissas and we are a part of countless Qissas. Come share, find and celebrate Qissas at Qissa ! Where there is 'A Story in every Sip'

Having travelled in India for the last few weeks and eating lot's of spicy food, we were craving something plain. We went here based on the reviews taking a long auto rickshaw taxi ride in the rain from our city centre hotel. We did not regret it! The staff were so welcoming. We were greeted with a cosy semi full cafe on a rainy evening. The decor was great and arty. Clean. Good music. Fast wifi and good selection of foods. I actually wanted the chicken nuggets but they did not have this so I had the avocado toast without chilli which was delicious! I love poached eggs on toast with avocado but never had I tasted it so delicious. The bread was thick and tasty. The poached eggs were perfect and the avocado was fresh and just right. Great portion size. I am a tiny eater but finished it all and could have had another one! A great place to relax and chill for hours! It was cheap by Western standards but travelling in India, this did seem pricey. About the same as the auto rickshaw! Would gladly do it again and highly recommend.

Stopped in for takeout but decided to eat in as my choice, avocado toast and poached eggs, would not travel well. The dish was very, very good. Now I know what all those hipsters are raving about:). Had a watermelon lime juice to drink, yummy and refreshing.

Dessert was banofee pie, also delicious. I also got carrot cake for takeout, not as good as everything else. Prices were reasonable for everything.

Service was excellent. I did not get names, but the young woman with the nose ring at the bar and the thin/slight young waiter were both super cute/friendly and helpful.

Atmosphere was relaxed, casual, very pleasant.

Good job all round, Qissa. Definitely recommend.

As one of the few places open for breakfast we thought we’d give it a try. It was a pleasant surprise. A very generous sized omelette that was very tasty. The Coffee and tea was quite drinkable. Worth a try.

Great little coffee shop with a good atmosphere. Recommend by our tour guide for a quick stop before we went to a traditional show next door. Great way to pass an hour, WiFi and excellent coffee
