I have travelled to more than 10 different countries and possibly stayed at 100+ hotels and my experience at this hotel is the worst so far.
I called from Canada to make a reservation and told them we will be staying for 1 day but may arrive earlier in the day at 8AM. So I was planning to ask them to accommodate an early check-in if they had empty rooms and in case it is fully booked, we were planning to just come back later. However, at arrival the person at the front said they will be charging us for 2 days, since I told them that we will be coming at 8AM and it automatically implies that we are doing reservation for 2 days.
After literally arguing about it for 20 minutes, the manager agreed it should only be 1 day charge. However, when my dad was passing by the reception later in the day, the owners of the hotel were present at the reception and they said they will actually be charging for 2 days and the fact the manager agreed to 1 day was a mistake. After going through the painful experience with the manager, I would have thought the owners of the hotel would know better, but it became apparent that the bad customer service is coming top down from the owners themselves. So at this point we decided that we will check out the same day we will check in because it wasn't worth arguing with them anymore.
Summary: I do not recommend this hotel to international clientele as you will be very disappointed. At the same time, the individuals from the big cities in India would be better served by paying extra Rs 500-1000 and staying in a better hotel. This venue is first a wedding hall and then a hotel and because of this, the customer service to hotel clients is not a main concern for the hotel management. The noise complaint is well documented in other reviews so I don't need to say much on that.
