“Perfect stay”
Reviewed September 30, 2018 for a stay in January 2018

Thanks so much for a fantastic stay! The family are so welcoming and make you feel like one of their own! We ended up staying for 2 months as we felt so at home. Mukesh,Dudi and the rest of the family give the best recommendations on what to do and the best way to do it. Perfect bit of peace right in the centre of the beautiful udaipur city. 1 minute from the Jahdish temple and the famous lake pichola. Big rooms and hot water make for a comfortable stay. The food is some of the best we had in a whole 6months of travelling India. Incredible. Thanks again for such a wonderful stay. We will definitely be back.

“Absolutely fantastic place to stay”
Reviewed February 25, 2018 for a stay in February 2018

We have just come back from a two week stay at the Black Pepper Guest House. What a absolutely brilliant place. It had everything we needed and more. Muki the Owner and his family were lovely, they couldn’t do enough for us and arranged everything from transport from and to the airport, Tok Toks to Animal Aid Unlimited where we were volunteering. Money exchange, and cooked us amazing vegan food. It was a real sanctuary in the middle of Udaipur. I can not recommend this place enough, we will definitely be back soon.

“Welcoming, comfy stay”
Reviewed February 15, 2018 for a stay in February 2018

We really enjoyed our stay at Blackpepper. The family were so welcoming, generous and friendly. The room was great, good value for money with a great hot shower and comfy bed.Wi-Fi works very well on the lovely rooftop that was great for lounging, but not as well in the room, but the rooftop was so nice this wasn’t really an issue. The masala Chai was the best we’ve had in India after a month of travelling. Thanks for having us, we wouldn’t have to take to come back.

“Just perfect”
Reviewed August 19, 2017 for a stay in August 2017

The Black Pepper guesthouse is the perfect place to visit Udaipur. I stayed here one week. The rooms are neat and clean and the bathrooms are big with good shower. All is new.
The guesthouse is in the centre of the city near jagdish temple and city palace so easily to go there by walk. I was surprised that it was so quit at night. Its in a very small street. So no cars.
The family that runs the guesthouse is so friendly and helpfull. They realy made me feel at home. You can ask them anything. The big black dog is also an important member of the family. He can be a bit impressive at first sight but he is nice.
And the food they serve at the rooftop restaurant is amazing. All dishes are homemade with fresh ingredients. One of my favourite dishes was the palak paneer.
I hope i can come back to Udaipur soon and then i will stay at Black Pepper again.
