We were told about this dance show by one of our guides and having see all sorts of watered down hotel type performances over the 3 weeks we’d been in India, were a little skeptical.
We ran the gamut of the half heated hawkers and hangers on that joined us along our walk to the museum. The admission price was just 150 rupee so we weren’t expecting much
We were ushered into a lovely atmospheric courtyard overlooked by gracious Rajasthani/moghul architecture and filled with bright red carpeted tiered seating and floor area. Indian families and their kids were already in situ
The show started promptly with the music first - all miked up professionally - and then a hostess introduced the program in both English and Hindi
The dances, puppet show, theatrical snippet performed by exquisitely made up men and of course the music was just the most professional, colourful and
Sumptuous performing arts experience we had had. The costumes were opulent, the dancers were enjoying themselves and a couple of the pieces were incredibly skilful
They are not charging foreigners a Hugh entrance fee for this. Worth a lot more

Great theater, awesome dancers, and the puppeteer was outstanding! Show up early to get a seat for the show starting at 7. Loved this!

For 150Rs you will leave utterly satisfied, impressed and with a grin on your face! The show itself is professionally run and demonstrates the artists dedication to their crafts. The music, dancing, puppetry and feats on display are thoroughly entertaining. A couple tips - 1) get their early if you want to choose your seat, we arrived at 6.45pm for a 7pm show and just managed to squeeze in a spot on the mat on the ground. We were comfortable enough, but missed some of the show because we couldn’t see perfectly, and if you want to secure the best seats go much earlier or book you seat well in advance. 2) if you are planning on taking photographs and/videos, please pay the 150rs charge, there were so many people exploiting this who had not paid. Personally, I would encourage you to simply enjoy the show and not worry about getting a photo - but up to you!

Hi,

This is the place every tourist must visit and recommend also to others.

The programs which are conducted here are very enjoyable to the peoples, specially for childrens, who are visiting the rajasthan for the 1st time. Please reach there around 6 PM and reserve your place, as the place is small, if you want to choose the best place then reach there before time.

Bye
