Difficult to spot dolphin's nose in the hills, name is not justified. Spot to wear local tea plant people dress and click some nice pics for memory.

We went to dolohin's nose to take some pictures to be frank because every frame is picture perfect at this location. We were not disappointed at all and got some fantastic clicks.

If you visit during good weather, you can have some amazing view of the valley. Often, quite foggy in the mornings and late evenings.

Want to get mersmerised by the beauty and serenity of the Nilgiris ? Head to the Dolphins Nose located 10km from Connoor. An awesome view point on the tip of a hill peak that resembels a Dolphin's nose. From here one can also view the stunning Catherine waterfalls a double cascaded waterfall in Kotagiri. This place is surrounded by tea plantations and ravines on either side and makes for great photo opportunity. The hairpin bends on the way to this peak and the surrounding views can leave one spellboud.

This view point of Nilgiri's is closer to Coonoor. I would say one of the best view point in that region. Not super crowded and thus allows you to enjoy a roughly 360 view of the Nilgiris

dolphine nose is the edge of a cliff were u are able to see a good veiw of the whole valley covered with lush green trees.u can take a couple of panoramic pics and selfies from the spot (my rating 3.5/5 ).but i must say the drive is excellent (my rating 4.5/5) for all nature lowers and all of u out there who love to ride.A good road covered by tall trees on its either side with the sound of flowing water, birds and insects makes it marvelous.put off ur air conditioner, pull down the window glasses and enjoy the pleasent nature.the best time is noon around 245 pm.if u are late u ill miss the veiw due to fog.
distance is 12 km from coonor (30-45mins)
during the drive : tea factory, eucalyptus oil factory, lamb rock(can spend arround 10mins,nothing great),small waterfalls (ideal for children and family),some shops for tea and snacks, spices and handicraft

please keep the area clean.do not make noise pollution.enjoy the nature, let others also enjoy... drive carefully .

There isn't much I can say about the possible view from this location as the surroundings were completely covered with fog. I spent Rs. 10 to enter the viewpoint premises as it had a public toilet. Spent another Rs. 5 to use an absolute abomination of a washroom. Came out cursing the attendant for lack of maintenance, only to get a robotic dead-face in response.

The drive up to Dolphins Nose is very pleasant, passing through some forest are, a couple of waterfalls on the way make for a good halt and of course some beautiful Tea Gardens. You can see the Catherine falls a little before reaching the view point.
There are monkeys galore ...they do not trouble you and it was fun watching their antics.

Dolphins nose is a small area viewpoint in the coonoor taluk of Niligiri District. The view of the hill is that of Dolphin's nose and hence it is named that way. You can see the Catherine falls from the view. It is a good visit and worth it.
