I booked this hotel manager behaviour was very bad he was there to took money there is no service rooms are very dirty and in toilets there is no water points no charging points for mobile. When i told to change he said you should check the room before booking. I thought there is no need to check every think like toilets and charging points. He was reacting as we ae staying there without money. Dont book this hotel.
Old fashioned and noisy rooms. The recepcion man has not been kind. Wifi not available in the rooms, and it starts at 9:00 am, previously and during the evening and night not wifi service.
2000 Rs. the night in a triple.
The AC has not turn off button, so we were all the night freezen.

This is a budget hotel with very limited facilities. It's located not far from the station, which is its only positive. The room service people are nice enough, but the receptionis/owner was unnecessarily rude, and also tried to stitch us up with an extortionate taxi, which I really hate. The rooms are clean, but the sheets are questionable. Despite what is says on Cleartrip and booking.com, the WiFi does not work at all, and I'd stretch to say it doesn't exist in that hotel. Our stay was less than expected even for a budget hotel.
Very poor service.The TV remote was not working and it took 9 hours for them to give a new one. Strictly ok for a day's stay. Location of the hotel was closer to Meenakshi temple/ bus stand / railway station.
My parents and me had to visit to my sister's place in Bengaluru from Pune. So my father and mother planned a spiritual trip to Madurai and Rameshwaram this time.
We took a train from Bengaluru to Madurai and reached Hotel Empee which my father had already booked over phone. Hotel's location was very near to Meenakshi Amman temple which is the best feature for this hotel.
Hotel is a old styled one with very less modern amenities. Rooms were average and lacked many basic facilities. Bathroom was not up to date and walls had patches of broken plaster. TV in the room didn't showed much channels, most of the time only Tamil channels used, not even English channels.
I didn't complain much as I didn't expected much since it was a spiritual trip to Holy city of Madurai and not a leisure trip.
Front Desk staff was very courteous but room service was bad. Hotel is located in the prime location and had many average restaurants and some famous south Indian restaurants.
