Good clean rooms.. be it bed or pillows or restroom. Well organized furnished rooms. Hotel is also less than 2 Kms to Meenakshi amman temple. Mr. Netaji coordinated & sophisticated everything by phone and after arrival to the hotel's room, it was peaceful & the ambiance of the room was good too. Next time visit, I can still count on 'Astoria Madurai'.
Had a very good stay in hotel Astoria. The room was clean and well maintained. Location was very nearby Railway station and quick to reach. The staff and booking support staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall would definitely recommend this place.
Breakfast was good, they provided dosa, omlette, idli, meduwada, bread butter jam, fruits, tea coffee, boiled eggs.
Rooms were clean, but sticky floor.
We left early morning on the checkout day, on our request they gave us packed sandwich and fruits. as breakfast was included in the package.
Disliked · 1) for 5 adults and 8 year one kid, they gave one deluxe triple occupancy room and another one deluxe double occupancy room. we had to share a double bed for 2 adults and a child, this was booking.com mess as per the hotel management. and if we need a extra bed we had to pay for it.
2) the site from the room 306 was the deadliest, a giant, very big honey bee comb just outside the window glass in the exact middle. Most horrifying experience ever. Unpleasant and horrible.
3) We asked for mozzarella pizza for the child, they served the pizza with foul smell cheese on it. the Mozzarella tasted sour and very bad, it was for sure expired one. the hotel manager said that he has checked and it is good. i asked him to smell or even taste it, without doing so, he said it is good and i can exclude it from the bill.
4) they served glass bottles of water, which was not packed or sealed in the room.
5) they did not provide any kit in the room, you have to call the reception and ask for what you have already paid, example - dental kit, towels, hand towels, bucket and mug in bathroom, no soap was given. Extremely bad service. you have to lower the cost if you do not want to provide the necessary kits upfront.
6) they do not respond to your WhatsApp messages. they do not talk to you or greet you properly. rude staff.
It was an excellent stay with delicious breakfast as a complimentary at affordable price. Services wre top notch.

We stayed one night for attending a wedding. Room is clean and reasonable spacious. Staff are friendly, service oriented and food in restaurant is good, though pricey. We appreciated the sweeper girl with thick glasses. She was doing her job diligently and keeping everything spick and span in the lobby and restaurant. They have RO water in glass bottles in the room, thus avoiding plastic.
The location of the hotel is very good, close to temple, station etc. We asked for a quiet room, and we got 506. It was quiet.
The AC controls could not be adjusted and in the night when it became very cold, I had to switch it off. The hotel uses soap/shampoo dispensers in the washrooms, but the quality of liquid soaps/shampoos could be improved.
The washroom in the room always had a bad odour. Maybe air fresheners need to be provided. The wardrobe does not have any lighting and it is a struggle to select your clothes. The hotel is always busy so expect a maximum of 1 hour extra if you want a late checkout. Checkout time is 11AM. Checkin 12 noon.
