Madurai Residency is located 4 minutes by walk from the main train station and a few more minutes from the Meenakshi temple. Staff is competent and helpful. Rooms are clean and modern. There is a restaurant on the roof that serves very good meal. Breakfasts are great. For the price this hotel is hard to beat! Highly recommended.

Cheaters and scammers...thats how I would like to describe them. If you want to pay extra money once you reach there then book this hotel. The hospitality is worst and the people sitting on the reception are rude and dont know how to treat the visitors. They think they have been in this industry for a long time so they can do whatever they want and charge any amount but the service is not at all good. A very bad experience in this hotel...A wish I could give negative grade to it.

Currently the property of Madurai Residency is under renovation, so there is noise from 11am to 6pm, this is a discomfort. We booked 2 standard rooms, 1st room had a nice view of Meenakshi temple and the 2nd room was dissapointing - it just had a large wall of another building. Rooms were clean. Breakfast spread was nice with veg south indian and egg buffet and a nice spread of juices and tea/coffee. We had our dinner at the hotel and i must say that you should try their Kerala parotta and chettinad chicken. Even biryani was good. We had it with lemon soda it was really refreshing. The rooftop dinner with super breeze just made our day!
