I stayed with my friend for a night at this hotel. We were put up in a very very good room with excellent view of the valley and the toy train down the hill. The view gives you immense peace. The hotel itself is tucked away a little far from the main road leading to Ooty, so its very quite. the environ is very soothing, can have a very calming effect on you.
However, this hotel is laid out on a steep slope. So people with too much luggage and elderly people would have a tough time dealing with the gradient going up and down the hotel. The gradient can put off people from venturing out in the market. you can even feel breathless at times.
My real issue was with the quality of food. The B/F served at best was below avg. Simple Idli, which any person in South India can easily serve, was attrocious. Dosa was to my surprise even worse than Idli. They would do better to have another cook in place. Lastly, service was also pretty poor. we jumped into the restaurant around 8am and serving tables were almost empty. No juices, no food, idlis had already kinda worn down and cold. I think this is where they really lose out. It is better to have food at Sagar resorts which is just 10 meters before Hill Country.More
