This hotel do not even deserve 3 star. Location was good and even the property was huge but these things does not make any difference without good service. Rooms were dirty..

Crockery was not clean.. Food was disaster. And one of the thing which i would like to highlight is they fool you with wrong GST. They charged 50% GST on our food bill.. And when we told them that the gst rate is incorrect they corrected the GST rate and amount. Similar incident happened with us again. We ordered wine in our room. The amount mentioned in the food menu was 540 and in the bill it was 840. We called up on house keeping and they told us to cut 840 and write 540 and sign. So guys beware... If you will not check the invoice they will over charge. This is what they must be doing with their other guests also.

On the check out day, we received a call at 11.30 that we need to check out by 12.30. We informed them that we might take 15-20min extra and will check out by 12.45-1. The reception guy warned us that they will charge us for this extra time if we wont check out by 12.30. Thereafter we called them at 12.25 to send someone to help us with our luggage. And even after calling them for 5-6 times they sent the luggage boy after 30-40min. What kind of hospitality is this i dont understand.

The hotel's manager someone Mr Devin Agarwal, we asked the reception guys to call him as we wanted to meet him and he did not turn up even after they called him 10 times. One can easily guess how the services can be when the manager is so unprofessional.

Room Tip: Please dont visit this hotel. There are a lot of good hotels in Agra.

location and accessibility: easy to locate. (but not really worth coming)
first look: property is huge... but not well maintained.
food :-they claim to have 4 restaurants/food joints
only 2 are functional.
breakfast had good vegetarian spread. but idly was tasteless. puri bhaji and dosa were decent.
dinner was disaster. we booked for buffet. they took money but said since adequate crowd is not there we wont serve buffet... we were ok with that... but ac was not working.. and they have no fan...

rooms... they are good but not worth the price.
toilets are dirty...
crockery was lined with layers of dust... (probably because no one comes to this hotel)

staff- indifferent to all complaints.
their standard answer is ... talk to my senior tomorrow morning.

there were power cuts at least 5 times during our stay

manager- well cant really comment on him... because he is simply not available. 24 x 7 helpline on its website... is switched off...

and please dont be fooled... its not taj group of hotels

note: no accommodation for drivers

This hotel could be incredible, the setting is exceptional and you get the wow factor when getting in because this atrium is breath taking, the rooms are very grand, set in these little courtyards around the central garden and it looks like an old Indian palace but the maintenance is badly lacking and quality of food quite poor.
The good things : The settings, the rooms, the service (even when we arribed unexpectedly at 2am). very good .
The things to improve : Fantactis, massive, gigantic pool which looks like a film set, unfortunately the water was green with algae, the tiles were broken and coming off everywhere and the staff did their best to try cleaning up the dead leaves around the pool but this looks like too little too late, they should be concentrating on ginving this fantastic pool a real make over. The garden is beautifully laid out and must have been a feast when all the fountains were working but they are all in dilapidated state as well as all the internal courtyards which look in dire need of a bit of care. But the worst bit was breakfast, little choice, little food, and very bad quality. pastries were awful, as were coffee and tea, they try to cook fresh eggs for you but they do a bad job of it and you have to wait if the room is a bit busy... on the second day of our stay the tables were not even laid for breakfast....a shamble.
in conclusion, a beautiful place with very opulent (extra wide beds), very comfortable, very grand rooms but hotel has seen better days> Hotel would need better focus from management to fix the pool and gardens, and better the breakfast offer. seems to me they want to concentrate on customers from India rather than cater for Westeners. I would still go back because this is gorgeous and affordable.

We stayed there during a company offsite 2 day program when this property was still called Wyndham Grand. The rooms were spacious, well equipped and had all the necessary amenities. We really liked the whole property and the heritage look about it. The food was good and sumptuous.

The hotel has only exterior. No service at all. One man is doing multiple duty. Rooms are full of bad smells. AC not works. The staffs are not getting salary for 3 months. So, they are not working well.

AVOID THIS HOTEL at any cost. You will be extremely unhappy. You will fall sick.

I can safely say the orient taj is one of the most poorly maintained hotels I have visited. The pool was filthy, there was no running hot water, mosquitoes and frogs everywhere, very poor service, very old and stained towels, rundown rooms and facilities. The Management of the hotel was lacking as the staff where slack and uncooperative . The name of the hotel is changed every 6 months to avoid bad publicity and the name misguides traveller to believe that it is a hotel of the prestigious taj group . We all fell ill with nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea from the stay there and landed up getting typhoid. Surely a hotel to be investigated

I stayed with my and my uncle's family. Waited an hour to get our key repaired. No towels, soaps and water in our room. There was a frog in our washroom. They promised for good quality of food it was the worst. Late services for room. Rude staff and chef. Worst experience!
