Its one of the seven wonders of the world and a must visit. The architecture and symetry is something one should experience once in a lifetime and regardless to say it is treat for your eyes as it is beautiful.

As all other reviews, excellent place to visit. You can do a day trip from Delhi, it's 5 hours drive one way. We had our own driver and car so comfortable. The cost if hiring should be around 8000 Rupees for the whole day, for the whole car.

Can't remember how much the car park costs but your driver should tell you. Then you can catch an electric golf cart to/from the entrance (or walk 700m) for around 100 Rupees, was 300 for us 4 (negotiate).

If you are a foreigner the cost is 1000 Rupees per person and 40 Rupees for locals (requires ID card) to get in. 1000 Rupees gets you a bottle of water and included overshoes (which you need to get into the main building). You also get priority entry which saves you lining up for hours in the huge line for locals.

We had mix of locals and foreigners in our group, so hired a guide for 500 Rupees (you have to negotiate) who gets everyone into the priority lane, shows you around, gives you a talk and after you've had enough takes you back outside and to the tourist souvenir shop.

If you are all foreigners then you can get in the priority line without issue and can do your own tour (again, you get the priority entries at a few places whereas everyone else lines up in a huge line).

The main building is open, however the main crypt that contains the remains of the queen is no longer open. We went down to the main crypt as a child many years ago.

Having visited the Taj Mahal on previous occasions, one might expect to take its beauty for granted, but the beautifully proportioned monument never fails to impress.

The real wonder! It is so unique and brilliant. Alone worth 15 hours flight from Canada. Should be in everyone's bucket list.
