“Good location in Kuta”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 April 2012

Stayed in Green Garden for three nights in April 2012. This was a return visit having been there in 1999. It was still good value. Buffet breakfast was good. Rooms were comfortable albeit a little noisy due to renovations and construction next door. The hotel is surrounded by lots of great restaurants so there are no shortage of eating choices..

Room Tip: Rooms away from the road and overlooking the pool would be the best choice.

we have never stayed at this hotel but travel across the city to eat here !!! AMAZING sates and nasi goreng babi !! !omg....so yummmmm. they come out on your own clay cooker. the smell is divine. well worth the visit. would highly recommend
ps. a few years ago my sister purchased about 10 of these little clay cookers and took back to Australia. am not sure how much they were or if they still do it but worth a try if your interested in authentic Balinese cookers

Some rooms at this hotel are terrible and you have to really push to get what you want. Our first room offered was overhanging the road and the noise was bad. The second was facing a brick wall .Not exactley inviting. But the last room offered was lovely and then our holiday started. This hotel is small some 27 rooms only and the staff are great. Your room is spotless and I take my hat off to the guys that do the cleaning. They are very professional. Breakfast is small but OK.All in all this hotal is good value.

Room Tip: Room 42 is on the street so unless you dont want quiet.

Stayed at Green Garden with a mate for a few nights on a 'boys trip' to Bali. This was the cheapest hotel we stayed at on our trip and was the best by far! Twin room with heaps of room, flat screen Tv, large fridge (for Bintang), good balcony, good bathroom, GREAT location near restaurants, Waterbom and Discovery! have stayed many time at neighbouring Bali Dynasty Resort which is great for families but so much more expensive (although we shall continue to stay at Dynasty with the family because it is perfect for families). The pool is great - not too big and the water doesnt get too hot becuase it is shaded so is nice and refershing. Breakfast is the only disappointment - VERY average but is included with room cost so can't complain about the cost. Our room cost 540000RP per night - walk up price. Also try M&M's massages across the road. The girls there give a great massage for 50000Rp for an hour. They also do good deals on hair braiding for the missus or daughter. Oh yes.. and free transfers to airport when you check-out in a van in case you have paintings or something a bit bigger.

I stayed at green garden march 2012,room 18.Room was so bright & new looking, pool just outside
door. Staff friendly & nothing too much trouble. Buffet breakfast, plenty to choose from, & changed daily.massages, hairwash nails etc, were good value, & more comfortable than on the street.
resturant served good meals. free return to airport. great hotel i will certainly book there again.

Room Tip: rooms on ground floor best.as closest to pool & resturant if you dont like stairs.

Initially picked this hotel from reviews I had read on TA so I had a pretty good idea what I was in for being a budget hotel....stayed for 10 nites.

Arrived on a late flight around midnite + after reception had closed....was checked in by security who showed us to our room + went through all the controls for the TV , Aircon , lights etc
Found this hotel grew on us day after day.

Rooms were very very clean + cleaned well every day. Aircon was very cold , Full size fridge was very handy + many tv channels - bed was king size and very comfortable .
Ate in the restaurant a couple of nites....sate's were sensational - breakfast was basic but it changed daily + vegemite was available on request !
Went to Sulis Spa in the complex twice + had a couple of magnificent massages - the staff here are trained therapists + far better than whats on offer from the street ladies.
Used the pool every day , had previously read reviews about the pool being too cool...rubbish , it was very refreshing after a warm day of shopping + sight seeing.

By far the stand out feature of the hotel was the staff...they are very very friendly + the waiters in the restaurant came over to talk to you every day , spoke very good english + were full of recommendations on what to do + where to go !...even used one of their brothers for a driver one day who was excellent + very reasonable.

Location of the hotel was great with walking distance to all shopping + the beach + there is some fantastic restaurants on either side of the hotel !

Really good Kodak shop money changer next door along with a fantastic DVD shop.

Try + get a pool side room which were the best...rooms 14 - 17 as there is building going on next door which was quite noisy but unable to be heard from the ground floor.

Would definetly stay here again , made many new friends + would highly recommend it !

Room Tip: Get a room on the ground floor by the pool !

We have just returned from a stay in the green garden hotel. This is the first budget hotel that we have stayed in.We wanted to book a cheap holiday and I had read the reviews which seemed good. I must say that the Hotel was excellent value for money. It is in a very convenient spot.Loved the fact that it was quiet at night for sleeping. The hotel rooms are basic but nothing more is needed. The staff were very friendly. If you are travelling to Bali for the first time .This hotel is bang across from a shop called Dianne shop.I have shopped with her for many years,She is one of the few market shops where prices are fixed and very cheap.I find that bartering with the markets can be hard work so shopping here is easy. Green garden give a decent breakfast and this is included in the price. There were 4 choices of fruit a day and toast jams etc. There were egg and bacon and indonesian foods also available. The coffee machine at breakfast made a nice coffee and I am a fussy coffee drinker. The hotel offer a free drop off to the airport and the staff very friendly ,beer was cheap enough at the bar,but there is a shop at the side that sell beer and snacks.I have rated this hotel on star value for a budget hotel. It has a warm and friendly feel.

Room Tip: We were on the 2nd floor (it has 3 floors) and it was quiet. No noise from above.Room 28,they all hav...
