Great resort by the sea !

Stayed 3 nights here with my family to celebrate my dad 70th in early January. We had a great time here, the staff was kind & helpful. The 2 restaurants buffets were great in the morning & in the evening too. My brother and I, enjoyed the little bar by the beach at night. The rooms are ok, maybe a little refresh needed, just like the corridor carpets. Big swimming pool, the beach is nice, you can see mount Agung from it when blue sky. Other than that, the lobby is big and magnificent. You have little shops inside the resort if needed. Check with the concierge for guided touristic excursions in the area or the entire island of Bali. Nice resort to stay for few days, my family & I enjoyed it.

Excellent, smiling service. Nice room (studio with Lagoon access). The staff is so wonderful that it is very easy to feel like at home. The hotel has via its affiliates a large number of excursions to offer, perfect for solo traveler

We have stayed at a few hotels in the Nusa Dua area but the Laguna we consider our stand out. The grounds are lush and wildlife abounds which we love. The pools are beautiful and clean as are the rooms. We had a pool access room which we did utilise on occassion but with so many pools it is not a necessity. The staff particularly at the restaurants are so friendly and go out of their way to assist. Our butler Suada made us feel so welcome whilst delivering a very high standard of service which seemed to come naturally to him. Thank you Suada. Breakfast at the Banybiru is fantastic. Well done to the Restaurant Manager Sukadana for delivering well trained staff and an array of choices for breakfast. Tya looked after us for breakfast with a beautiful lagoon view. Her service is outstanding and is an asset to the Banyubiru Restaurant. Thank you to the Laguna. We will be back

We have been fortunate enough to stay in many five-star resort around Southeast Asia.
Often ,the only differentiator is how the management respond when something goes wrong.
The Laguna is a magnificent beautifully designed resort with the rooms located around the giant lagoon -hence the name.
It is absolute beachfront and all of the restaurants that we dined in are exceptional- staff from the general manager to the front desk manager to the waiting staff and even the guys who pick up the towels and the fallen palm fronds greet you with a genuine smile .
Unfortunately our stay was curtailed with my wife developing kidney stones and extreme gastroenteritis -we called the in-house doctor who arriv d in 10 minutes,came with drugs ,diagnosed the problem and after two hours decided she needed to be sent to the BICM hospital which fortunately was just across the road.
She spent four nights there but the management response at the Laguna was exceptional .
After alerting the front desk manager Adi Adnyana to why my wife was no longer dining with me they moved in to full customer service mode; general manager Lucia Liu arranged for ice cream to be sent across to the hospital and free transport for myself plus making crucial phone calls to help me navigate the challenges faced when things go awry in a foreign country .
Also look out for the brilliant Anyar who gave me the best service whilst dining at the beachfront Kulkul restaurant.

All of the restaurants’ staff that I ate at during my wife’s stay in hospital seemed to know what had happened to her and couldn’t have been more helpful and sympathetic to our plight- she is still in hospital but I hope that during our last three days of our stay we will be able to enjoy this magnificent resort.

Beautiful clean hotel. Food is great (not cold as stated in previous review, 2nd March), I had the best crayfish ravioli ever at the Arwara Restaurant and a lovely meal at the buffet the night before. Staff are friendly and helpful throughout the hotel.

Yes, I was by the pool while there were a few young children making noise yesterday, however it wasn’t for long. But hay, not the staffs/hotels fault, that can happen in any hotel where parents don’t really care about others. I have been here 4 times now and can’t fault the place. It’s a lovely relaxing place to stay.

The location on paper seemed great, not too far from the airport, 5 star luxury hotel less rooms than other hotels nearby and hoped not as busy as Kuta.
How wrong can you be. Screaming children, parents constantly shouting, certainly no hygiene around pool areas. Not the tranquil Bali I wanted to experience.
This is a cheap family hotel. Staff try to be really kind, but the whole place needs an uplift! Breakfast a bun fight, food tasteless, not able to get decent fruit, eggs or bread. If you like Chinese food you will be ok! Happy hour in the bars us great, but only local wine and beer included. Dinner expensive for what it is, avoid the buffet evenings, food cold and of poor quality. Classed as a luxury hotel it certainly is not 5 star by European standards.
