We had a 4 day stay at Nusa Dua, Grand Hyaat. The hotel though renowed for being the largest in Nusa Dua, with beautiful lawns and beaches, misses the personal touch.

The property is beautiful, wide, and well maintained, but the rooms are cold, american and miss the balinese touch.

The beach is a private beach and beautiful.

within Nusa Dua, Hyatt is well located, bang opposite Bali connection, the shopping and eating plaza of Nusa Dua and just a 10 minut walk from the main Nusa Dua entrance.

The food is very good. However, the only thing we missed was the bali touch of personalisation. Maybe the staff needs to prep up its hospitality to other traditional bali hotel levels.

We stayed at the Grand Hyatt for 2 weeks and cannot fault it. I last stayed here 15 years ago and was worried that the standards would have slipped, especially as it is now such a large property (750 rooms).
However, there was no need to worry as standards have been maintained and are generally very good.
Although the hotel has many rooms, the property is so big that it didn't become at all crowded when we were there. The pools and landscaping are beautiful, the beach is fantastic and the restaurant standard is high (both service and food quality), particularly in the Salsa Verde Italian restaurant.
We had a great time and will definitely return.

Me and my wife stayed 5 nights. We used our points for the Sea View room (evening snacks and buffet breakfast was included). The location is in Nusa Dua, which is a touristy enclave - nothing much to do other than chilling in the hotel. The beach is right there, and no one hassles you.

There is a shopping strip across the hotel, with a departmental store and few inexpensive restautants - makes buying the essentials easier and cheaper.

The spa is great- both of us took a couples massage which was awesome.

Since our breakfasts and hor'drves were so heavy, we did not eat at the restaurants, so cant comment on the food.

A good idea is to hire a car for a day (its cheaper if you hire it from the mall across) and venture around Bali at your will.

The one downside is the air-conditioning in the room is sub-par.

- Friendly hotel staff, ever warm and friendly. Though I would appreciate if they could give a quick introduction of the hotel when they check us into our room - the hotel is huge.
- Spacious room
- Great view of the beach (I enjoyed the privacy *smaller crowd*)
- Fantastic swimming pool I must say, one of the best I have seen.
- Location: It's located in Nusa Dua central area, but seriously, I think we need a driver to get out of Hyatt. We can walk but we could have melted in the heat.

We spent a short couple of days here. Wish it could have been longer.

The hotel is really large and quite well located.

We were in the Club section and the rooms were fairly nice. If you are traveling with a young child, I would recommend a room on the ground level as you can then walk to the beach or the pool.

The service is really excellent. I'd read some reviews on this site where some guests had bad experiences. I guess we were fortunate. The Club lounge is great and has a really nice selection of snacks and drinks. The breakfast served there is great too. The staff at the lounge are very friendly. The lounge is surrounded by a pool with lots of fish. The staff brought my daughter some bread to feed the fish and that kept her engrossed. All on their own and without any requests from us.

Some of the small details really helped. The hotel has baby strollers available that one can take on loan.

The only area for improvement is probably the food. Its average at best.

But would definately go and stay there again.
