Firstly I want to point out that the staff at this villa are exceptional. They are kind and welcoming and try their best to speak English. Secondly, the villa is situated basically within the jungle, its stunning scenery and I am glad I had the chance to stay here. The pool is amazing and is only shared with one other villa and we had it to ourselves the entire stay!

The staff will take you into the city and pick you up at an agreed time or you can call them and they will come get you. There weren't many others staying when we were there, so we basically could get dropped off/picked up whenever. If there were more people staying this may be an issue, but I don't know for sure. However there are a few cons to mention.

There is no lobby/reception so it's not a typical hotel experience in that respect. It's quite a walk from the car to the Villas so anyone in a wheelchair or who has a walker/crutches should not book this villa.

There is no card machine on site which is really annoying as the staff also didn't have any change to give us when we tried to pay them which meant we had to try and break our large bills and get the right change to give them. In the end we overpaid but only slightly and it was not an issue, but the lack of card machine did annoy us.

There is no restaurant on site (they have an agreement with a place nearby) but the food is cold by the time it arrives to the villa. We ordered dinner there the first evening because we arrived quite late and it was disappointing to say the least. We also ordered a pizza the next day and when it arrived the staff member who accepted it stood and talked to the delivery guy before giving it to us. This annoyed me because it took nearly an hour to get it in the first place AND it was just getting colder.

There was some sort of animal in the loft space above our villa. It was running around every night and it must have hit the wires for the light and it knocked out the fuse in two of them (the room was already dark enough). The lamps on the beside tables provide no light whatsoever. I couldn't even read my kindle.

The breakfast gets old after day one. My advice would be to get some in Ubud, we saw loads of restaurants with really nice sounding breakfasts.

The tours offered through the hotel are wayyyy overpriced. Book a tour in Ubud through one of the agencies there.

The wifi was soooo slow. Says hi-speed but it was slow and half the time wouldn't even work.

My advice, if you want somewhere secluded from everything and everyone, this is the place for you (although you may get tired of the food).

If that's not what you're after, stay at a larger resort or Villas with more facilities on site/closer to Ubud centre.

Again, can't fault the staff, they were so wonderful!

I stayed 2 nights - wish it was a week! GIANT rooms, wonderful views of the gorgeous grounds, peace and quiet, lovely pool, friendly & helpful staff. They offer free drop-offs any time you like in and out of the bustling center of Ubud (about 10 min away).

Room Tip: Love the 2nd floor with view of jungle and pool!

We stayed at Suara Air luxury villa in December 2016.

The staff at the villa couldn't have been more friendly or helpful - they were really wonderful. Our room was spacious, clean, air conditioned and comfortable.
A highlight of this villa is the beautiful infinity pool overlooking the jungle - a really tranquil and peaceful place to relax. One thing to be aware of is that there are quite a few steps from the driveway to the villa itself, and carrying a heavy/large suitcase was quite tricky in the dark - just something to bear in mind when packing lots of clothes!

Ubud is about 15 mins drive away through rice fields and a small village. A really lovely drive. The staff will drive you into Ubud whenever you need, and collect you at an agreed time. Very handy as you can still enjoy all the excitement and fun of Ubud but also be relaxed and secluded if you want to escape the bustle.

One tip is to leave the hotel and make the 5 minute walk to Warung Tepi Sari restaurant which is a family run place that is situated in next to a rice paddy. The family here were so friendly and the food was delicious and great value.

The only thing that I would say could be improved is the variety of the breakfast. We had the same thing every day (there are only two options) and after a few days this got a little boring. But what we did eat was well prepared and presented.

The place has some excellent points and some poor ones, that's the reason of my average score.
1. A beautiful area with a private villa and a bigger building with rooms around a lovely garden. If you just want to relax and do nothing, it's an ideal place. I had the private villa, a huge room and a big bathroom with toiletries and hair dryer.
2. A decent swimming pool, not big if there are many people but long enough to swim if you are alone
3. A pick up service from and to the airport and to and from Ubud; they give you a telephone number and you call when you need it, allowing 20-25 minutes for them to arrive from the villa to the town.
4. Good breakfast, freshly prepared when you're ready, including fruit, eggs and bacon, jam and toast, juice and tea/coffee
5. Kind staff, even if their English is poor (the night watch only speaks Spanish).
6. Good wifi.
1. The place is very far from Ubud (20-25 minutes by car) and there is nothing around. You cannot go out, come back to the room, then go out for a stroll, get ready for dinner and go out again to the restaurant. You get out in the morning and come back at night. If you want to eat they offer to order a meal from a restaurant they have an agreement with, and you can eat it in your room. As I said, good for hermits or honeymooners.... If you travel alone it's sad to say the least.
2. It's not a hotel. There is no reception but only a guardian and people coming to clean. They do not take credit cards.
3. They offer a choice of activities and sightseeing tours, but the tours are set and you cannot modify them according to your taste. Or at least I couldn't make them understand what I wanted. Besides they are expensive in comparison with Other options. In Ubud you can rent a car with or without driver and make you own itinerary at a lower price.
4. Lots of steps leading from the road to the villa. Forget it if you have motility problems.
5. In spite of the isolated location, plenty of noise by night, from the air conditioning to more rural noise we are not accustomed to, such as very insistent roosters or the adjacent waterfall.
6. Big window facing the garden, at least for the villa, which means a lovely view but also that anybody passing by the garden can see you inside. If you draw the curtains you plunge into the dark.
That said the balance between pros and cons is completely subjective and the score can indeed vary according to your priorities. As I said the place is gorgeous.

What an amazing place! You first had to walk along a little pathway over a small bridge with a waterfall - that's how secluded this place is - and then you arrive at a gorgeous property right along the rain forest.

I stayed at one of the Pool Villas which were even more secluded and are much bigger and more impressive than the photos on the website. Beautifully furnished, a little terrace where meals were also served, a lovely garden and, of course, the private pool which was such a wonderful treat.

The staff was very friendly and helpful and a free shuttle to Ubud was provided whenever needed - another nice treat.

One activity I highly recommend is a walk through the rice fields and local village - so beautiful, especially on a sunny morning.

One thing to note is - this place does not accept credit cards.

Thanks again for this amazing stay!

Room Tip: Definitely pick a pool villa - such a special experience - and if possible the one furthest away.
